“The property was very clean and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The area where the hotel is located is not in the center of town, but is a short walk to many shops and restaurants. The staff to fulfill our requests. They helped us find a tour operator, which was fabulous! The only downside was that there was no heat in the rooms or the bathroom. It gets chilly at night at that elevation. It would have been nice to have some heat in the bathroom so you……

“The Abuelo is a jewel of a hotel in the Callejón! Modern, clean and an amazing proprietor. All are helpful and eager to please. Located in the middle of Carhuaz, they can quickly get you the best guides and transport. The cook is fantastic; it thus is the best restaurant in town and one of the best in the Callejón. We travel a lot, are very fluent in Spanish and would rank it among the nicest rural hotels in Latin America!”

The included hot breakfast was delicious, served in the upper level breakfast room with inspiring views of the nearby mountains. Guests arriving in their own vehicle should contact the property prior to arrival for assistance with parking.”
