“Read some negative comments from various hotels booking website, have struggled to book it or not, but there are not really many hotels / ryokans in Onomichi. Anyway, the reality is, starting from the check in till check out, we are very satisfied and amazed. We need to give it a fair comment to support the staff there. The hotel is just by the seaside, thus we enjoyed wide ocean view from our rooms. It is over 100 years history, surely it will look old, but it is full of retro and……

“My daughter and I traveled to Japan for two weeks and stayed here in the middle of a 70K Shimanami Bike trip. I wish so much we'd booked an additional night. Of the seven hotels/ryokans we stayed during our trip, this was heads above all the others. The rooms were beautifully decorated and spacious and the ryokan was quite peaceful. The staff was wonderful- helpful and attentive. If I'm ever lucky enough to return to Japan and visit this area again, I'll return to this lovely property.”

“Just across the street to JR station, pier is just under the hotel, super convenient. Walkable distance to local temple and main shopping street. Seaview provided. Even have free massage chair provided. Only problem is the Wi-Fi is weak. Staff are nice and friendly. ”

“석식 조식 두 끼 포함된 숙박으로 묵었는데 밥이 정말 맛있어요. 시설이 다소 낡은 점, 방에는 화장실과 세면대만 있고 샤워와 목욕은 대욕장에서 하는 시스템인 것은 다소 불편하지만 전반적으로 깔끔하게 잘 관리되어 있고 그 나름대로 정취가 있습니다. 방에서 보이는 전망도 좋고요. 차를 이용할 수 있다면 근방에서 할 수 있는 가장 좋은 숙박 경험이라고 생각합니다.”

“The room design is exactly how we want our house to be like. Very cozy, harmonising colours, and clean. The hotel is full of wood elements. We would definitely want to come back and spend the whole day here, may be do some reading or self work. The staff here are friendly and helpful!”
