“This place was super cute and you can tell it was recently updated. The room itself is super clean, stocked with all the goods you would find in a larger hotel and check-in/out is quick & easy. It doesn’t seem like it, but this place is walkable to the downtown Aitkin stretch (roughly 30 minute walk). we were able to check out some cute shops and grab a bite from a cute local spot. ”

“What a hidden gem that’s a little off the beaten path. I was looking for a last minute place to stay near Rice Lake wildlife refuge and a room was available. The lodge room was above the bar, and we took advantage of the bar and then the pool area, so there was never a noice issue. The pool area was one of the cleanest I think I’ve ever seen. All the staff from the front desk to the bar was super friendly and helpful ”

“After seeing some fairly negative reviews I was a little reluctant to book a stay, but I ended up taking the gamble and I’m glad I did, because I’ve gone to Breezy Point before and always had a great time, and this was a much more affordable option, right on the property! The negative reviews mention not having luck with their reservations, I am going to chalk this up to user error. “We had a wonderful three-night stay at this cozy cabin in Hillman. It was the perfect distance from the Cities—close enough for an easy drive, but far enough to feel like a true getaway. The cabin was well-appointed with everything we needed. We spent our time relaxing, grilling, and even caught a couple of fish right off the dock. One evening by the fire was a highlight.We also ventured into Brainerd one afternoon for a delicious lunch at Chick N Rice (highly recommend!) and had a great time……

“Cabin had a great view out over the lake. Cabin was comfortable for as family of 6.”

“We were very happy with this cabin! What a great experience. We arrived very lake, but access was easy and painless. The channel was also surreal at night with all the docks lit up across the water. Our favorite feature was probably the swing on the deck where we could sit and drink a morning coffee while listening to the loons. Then again I also enjoyed cooking bacon on the Blackstone while watching the great blue herons fish. Being able to enjoy the smell of my smoking pork shoulder on the……

“We had a wonderful time with our family and very familiar with the cabin as our parents built it. It had everything we needed and so thankful that you had air conditioning as it was so hot and humid. Everyone enjoyed fishing off the dock and we caught a lot of fish. Hopefully we can come back again. ”
