“The frontdesk personnel were a bit preoccupied. We felt like some personal issue happened before we arrived. The room and bath are small but comfortable. I was surprised that there were no usb plugs in the room. We decided to go to the Heidout at the end of the street for dinner and back to the hotel bar for a nightcap. The drinks were good and reasonable but again, just didn’t feel welcomed. ”

“The cabin was perfect for our weekend stay. The location was nice. The cabin was secluded in the woods and was close to town. We even went ice fishing right off the property. It was easy to get ahold of the owner and the owner made sure we enjoyed our stay. As well, the check-in was easy. The only downside of the cabin was that there was items in the fridge, drawers, and around the cabin that made it seem like someone was living there. This gave us less room for our things. It was extremely clean and well cared for, we walked into the sweetest card and welcome gift, and the home was fully stocked with the things we needed for kitchen ware, bedding, extra toiletries, and even laundry supplies. “Our group of 6 people -3 couples, go to Upper peninsula or North Wisconsin every year. We never stayed in the same house for different reasons. This place we will consider for our next year vacation. The house is super clean and comfortable. The view from living room is breathtaking. The kitchen is very well organized with all necessary pots, pans and utensils. Fishing was fun. The single negative thing is that only one bedroom has queen size bed. “This property is absolutely incredible! Deserves nothing but 5 stars. The house is very large and seemed brand new. The lake chain is so much fun! The property’s exterior was pristine too! BUT the house seemed a bit like it wasn’t ready for us. Bathrooms were not the cleanest with some dirty toilet bowls, globs of toothpaste stuck in sinks, very sandy floors and towels missing. Also, when we arrived there was no welcome book with house (WiFi) info so we had to find cell reception to call the……

“We were there just after Labor Day so there was zero activity on the lake. We live in downtown Chicago. There is always some kind of noise happening near us. In this cabin and down on the lake it was absolutely quiet except for an occasional bird call. Very refreshing.”
