“While this is an older roadside motel, it is cleaner than most places I’ve stayed. The couple who runs it are very friendly and extremely helpful! Great place to stop for the night after a long day’s travel! Water pressure in shower is amazing. I would recommend ”

“Wonderful historic hotel with notes to read about past events. It can really help you imagine the 1800s, since it was lovingly restored with the goal of looking just like it did. Laurie was kind, helpful and thoughtful too. Room stayed cool and we enjoyed passing trains. Easy to walk around town with dining options and you could walk to it from the Amtrak station. The only suggestion would be to have a hanger or 2 in the room and maybe some bottles of water, although the room had a glass bottle……

“Our stay was secluded and private! Exactly what we needed for our 10th anniversary! ”

“We had such a nice stay at this property. The cabin was clean and decorated so cute. We stayed over Christmas and the host even had a beautifully decorated Christmas tree to set our mood for the week. It was such a nice surprise to walk into. So many special touches. The bathrooms were stocked with hygiene items such as toothbrushes, hand cream disposable razors and even a fully stocked first aid kit which we actually needed. “My husband and I are locals to the area. We needed more space for us and some out of town close friends. It happened to snow while we were at the VRBO. It was beautiful. I will say that you will need to plan accordingly vehicle wise if you stay during the winter. Luckily we have 4 wheel drive SUVs. The fireplace was lovely and so was the hot tub the few nights we used them. The VRBO chalet was decorated nicely and had most of.what we needed during our stay. ❤️ We will gladly go back and……
