“The smoking table for staff was right outside the entry way, so we had to walk right through the cigarette smoke to get into the lobby. It gave the place a trashy feel that was not reflective of the hotel itself. The staff was great.”

“What a nice find. We've been to West Virginia for years with family roots. When this property showed up or Hotels.com, it was a pleasant surprise. Very quaint and cozy on a quiet street on the banks of the Elk River in Braxton Co., WV. Called to check on us as we were running late, offered to hold the Cafe open for dinner. Escorted to your room. The history of it's old period construction with new touches is really cool. Bed comfy, quiet night. We intend to stay again. ”

“I had a great stay overall—staff were friendly, the room was clean, and the service was excellent. However, the décor and facilities feel outdated and could benefit from a modern facelift. The atmosphere reminded me of a nursing home, which might not appeal to all guests. Updating the interiors could really elevate the guest experience and match the level of service provided. Thanks for the hospitality!”

“This is a wonderfully kept property with very gratuitous host and hostess. Our room had 2 queen beds, a love seat, a table, small refrigerator, and a microwave. We were visiting Cass Scenic Railway and Morning Glory Inn is one of the few lodging options in the area to offer breakfast. This is a rural area that primarily focuses on the winter ski trade. In the off season dining options are limited and tend to close early so plan accordingly. Also cell service is limited. If driving in from……

“Maintenance is lacking on the entire property. The bathroom mirror had a nice saying (not family friendly) on it that showed up vividly when steamed over which happened easily since the fan was useless. ”
