“The grounds around the property offered many areas to relax, read, and just enjoy nature. The room was elegant and the hosts/staff were friendly and very helpful. Indoors we took advantage of the library to play card games. The 2nd floor terrace also offered a very peaceful place to read. It is an easy .5 mile bike ride to the Panhandle Pathway Trail. ”

“Check-in was friendly and efficient. A good variety of shopping is conveniently available just across the street. While clean and tidy, the property shows it’d age. ”

“Kim is wonderful and helpful! This is a no frills motel. If you want a cheap clean room, a basic place to sleep (bring your own pillow if you are picky about pillows), shower (water gets HOT, pressure is fairly good; bring your own towels if you use/want big towels and/or plush/soft/new ones), and do not need any amenities (no chair for desk in room with two beds, no hair dryer, no hangers) this is the place to stay. Can't beat the price. Stayed two nights last week and am typing this in my room……

“We enjoyed utilizing this house for our annual planning retreat. The property and home was great! Only suggestion would be to improve the quantity and quality of Kitchen items (dishes, cookware, knives, etc).”

“We rented this space for a Purdue Graduation celebration and it was ideal. It is about 45 mins from campus. There were plenty of inside and outside spaces for gathering. We loved the deck overlooking the river and the patio attached to the house. Our bed was very comfortable and the house was well cleaned. Our sons had fun playing w the pinball machine too. Highly recommend!”

“We were attending a wedding in the area and needed a place to stay with our large family. The Winona House and Tammy were wonderful! The house had something for everyone. The kids, all adults, hung out in the lounge, played pool and even got in a game of hoops. We enjoyed family time on the patio and beautiful views of the lake. Before the wedding we took photos in the backyard and by the gazebo. We loved our stay and we highly recommend.”

“Amazing little cottage, perfect for our family of 5! Very peaceful alternative to staying on campus or in Lafayette while visiting our daughter at Purdue (just a quick 30 min drive). Really enjoyed all the board games and pickleball court. Wish weather would have allowed us to enjoy the lake more! Angie (host) was super with communication as well!”
