“This is a typical side of the road Americana motel. No frills in the room, although they are remodeling. No hair dryer or ironing board, no USB connections for charging modern devices, there was a hole in the shower wall.. the “lobby” is also a deli that sells cold cuts and beer to go. The attached restaraunt was outstanding!! Great food, decent prices,, fun staff. ”

“Property is exactly as pictured. It sits back a little bit on a dirt road which gives the "secluded" aspect but still close to town. Host provided a great deal of complimentary items throughout. This was the perfect size rental for our weekend away. We would absolutely stay here again in the future. ”

“Bart was amazing, helped us feel very safe and at home and gave great insights around the area that were very helpful! He made breakfast burritos for all of the guests each morning which was so thoughtful and tasted amazing. Easy check in and check out process. Highly recommend others to stay here and would definitely stay here again!”

“Was fine for a one night travel stay, but don’t think I would choose it again. You can tell they have tried to put the effort in with some updates in the rooms, but it’s the little things matter more sometimes. The super rough sheets, musty smell and no weather seal at all on the primary door, were all concerning for me. The staff was wonderful and made me feel very welcome at both check in and out though. ”

“This was one of the cutest little houses I've rented off VRBO. The owner makes finding the house VERY easy (the other review someone left was clearly by someone who didn't communicate). My trip was last minute, but the owner make the house just as welcoming. From the farm fresh milk and local baked brownies to the comfortable and updated furnishings, this place is a genuine retreat. My partner and I definitely plan on returning!”

“Not many options in Port Matilda, so we were lucky to find this place so close to the Marrasas Mountain Lodge. We were still able to get an Uber from state college. And swing into state college for breakfast and supplies. It was perfect for our family of 6. And we even hosted some friends after the wedding. The outside looked comfy but weather wasn’t cooperating (rain) to use it. Loved the blue white Penn state details. Host was super responsive with some last minute questions. ”
