“When we arrived for check-in we were greeted with a notice at the front desk with a memo that states they do NOT rent rooms to locals. I am appreciative that I was allowed to continue with my reservation because the general manager wanted all rooms to be filled. I think it would be nice that when making a reservation people are made aware that if they live in the surrounding counties they will not be allowed to stay at this hotel. “We were just visiting Charlottesville and the surrounding area for a few days during Spring Break. We live in northern VA and have spent time in the area, but more for work and less for fun. The cottage was great, clean, and calming. The hosts were responsive and friendly as well. If you’re looking for a place somewhat off the beaten path but close enough to all the things to do in the area, this is a great spot! If you love horses, Ruby is super friendly and will come say hello anytime!”

“Great clean space. Lots of sitting room with ample heat on cold days. Easy access to downtown Louisa. If I had any comments to improve on, it would be to have more cooking pans. I could only find one 8in pan. ”
