“Fantastic gem of a hotel. It’s a historic 3 story house, sort of like a B&B feel. You check yourself in using a code you get prior to arrival and get an actual key for your room (not a card). The first floor is the restaurant which was AMAZING. Such good drinks and the food was so fresh and good, 5 star plating and taste. The room was really cool. Was in room 4, it has a separate bedroom and sitting room. Built in 1908 so yes, you can hear other people walking around in other rooms and stairs……

“The location is great and the property was clean. The bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, there are lots of hidden surprises once you book. Several hundred unexpected dollars for a property fee... The host lives on the backside of the house. Pets are not allowed. One of the hosts asked me when we planned to check out before we had even checked in. The day of check out, I got a text from the host at 6:30 am reminding me to follow all their rules at checkout. The sprinklers turn on and cover the……

“Was disappointed with the lake access that’s available. I felt advertisement was a little misleading . I emailed owner with questions a few days prior to arrival and never heard back. However overall the place was really nice . It was very clean and comfortable. Would stay again. ”

“ The home is in an excellent location with quick access to the public beach, boat ramp and public golf courses. It was very clean and we appreciate the extra pull out chair beds being made up for us before we got there. There were plenty of lake and backyard toys and games available for use. We also liked that there were some basic, shelf-stable kitchen ingredients available in the cupboards for our use. The neighborhood was quiet and host Jen was easy to communicate with and responsive to……

“Our stay at this beautiful little cottage set in an idyllic background complete with quiet mornings, fresh strawberries and visiting chipmunks was a much better alternative to staying in cramped hotel while my family was visiting Silverwood theme park. I give our stay full marks and my only suggestion would be to upgrade the mattresses on the beds. I would recommend this home to any families visiting the area.”
