This was our first trip to Maui, and we wanted a home base for exploration that was away from the more touristy parts of the island. Given the traffic gridlock elsewhere on the island, this proved to be a good decision. Very low-key and chill, this was the ideal spot for heading west to Road to Hana, east to Lahaina, or South to Wailua.”

Close to surfing, hikes, waterfalls - you name it...I'm not sure there is much more to say other than we loved it here and mentioned many times how great a setup it was for a group of old friends.”

“The directions to this jungle cottage were atrocious despite some clear landmarks. In a VRBO rental, we expect a kitchen. There was no kitchen. There was no lighting and the entry way was treacherous. We had a 3 night rental and left after one night. The de-humidifier in the room warned of "tripping" a circuit breaker behind the head board of the bed. The window shades were not secured and flapped all night. There were two other entrances to our "living area" that accessed other "living areas"……
