“This was a perfect little getaway for winter. The cabin was cozy, the fireplaces set the mood and the hot tub was a nice way to end the day. A nice location just 15 minutes to downtown blue ridge and 10 minutes to grocery store. ”

“Love the location. The house was pretty nice, the cabin was well equipped and furniture was comfortable. Was disappointed that the TV was not a smart TV. Couldn’t log into my accounts to watch football etc. nice 2 person tub but the hot water heater isn’t big enough to fill it. There a wood burning stove and that was nice but there is no fire pit outside. It’s prohibited. The back porch is nice with plenty of sitting. Outside lights by the garage were not on and couldn’t find a switch so coming……

“Ross and Laurel’s cottage is folded into beautiful, steep, wooded terrain. Windows in DR and LR receive late afternoon sunlight and gorgeous sunsets. The soothing sound of the stream is heard from decks and through open windows. Through the trees, past the creek -- a horse, a few goats, and some donkeys graze on steep green pastures. Deer also frequent the area and we spotted wild turkey on a drive. As much as the surrounding area calls out to be explored (and deserves to be explored), we found……

“We rented this property last week and have no regrets. The house was spacious, clean, and located just a short distance from downtown Blue Ridge and McCaysville. The property is not located in a neighborhood with amenities as advertised, but is in a gated community. That was not an issue for our family, but could be for others. Also we learned the hard way that you can only get beer and wine, no liquor within 20 miles so plan ahead! We also took advantage of the Xplorie discounts and it was……
