“This was a perfect little getaway for winter. The cabin was cozy, the fireplaces set the mood and the hot tub was a nice way to end the day. A nice location just 15 minutes to downtown blue ridge and 10 minutes to grocery store. ”

“Ross and Laurel’s cottage is folded into beautiful, steep, wooded terrain. Windows in DR and LR receive late afternoon sunlight and gorgeous sunsets. The soothing sound of the stream is heard from decks and through open windows. Through the trees, past the creek -- a horse, a few goats, and some donkeys graze on steep green pastures. Deer also frequent the area and we spotted wild turkey on a drive. As much as the surrounding area calls out to be explored (and deserves to be explored), we found……

We had narrowed our search down to a couple of places and opted to go with Whispering Cascades based on the way Rachelle described her home. I could tell she was very passionate about the property and when we arrived, we could see why. She and this little house are such a hidden gem! We had such a wonderful time at this place. The property is not located in a neighborhood with amenities as advertised, but is in a gated community. That was not an issue for our family, but could be for others.
