I picked this property to start with because it was a Shiloh, but it sure did not meet what I would expect. I did have the ocean view I wanted and the floor was clean however there was much to be desired. There were no towels in the room (but this was corrected when I asked for them) but then there were other problems——the toilet was not clean (feces from a prior renter), the coffee machine was missing the carafe so could not use it although there were supplies to make coffee, the hairdryer did not work, the bottom sheet had an inch corner tear in it, and the shade on the door toward the beach was frayed for about a foot and half on the right side. Many of these items are minor but surely not great for the price that I paid or for Shiloh which I expected to be a hirer rated hotel. The front desk person was very nice and I wish that I could have written a much more complementary rating and would have done so if I could have.

Nice view of the ocean. Rooms needed update. It takes forever to take a shower due to the water is not coming strong. I’m not sure maybe it’s the shower head. The sauna and the steam room door need to get fix because it won’t close all the way. The bed is not comfortable, really old comforter. The eating area with little refrigerator, microwave, and sink is always nice to have. Close to the stores. I hope they open the restaurant again.

Save your money and stay somewhere else. For what they charge you would think you’re getting something. Not the case! Beds hard, worn out bedding, used room card holders, stained carpet and mixed matched tile in the lobby. The tile in the bathroom was sticky. You had to hold down the handle on the toilet to flush and the seat was loose. The freezer in the room was completely full of ice you couldn’t use it at all!

Just needs a facelift. Spacious room, more like a suite, quiet, ocean view from the deck. Shopping within walking distance, staff was welcoming and friendly, a perfect place to rejuvenate a tired soul.

Our room was dirty, TVs screens dirty, dust on all wood furniture, bathroom floor was dirty in corners, freezer In fridge was complete frozen over, windows dirty, water dripping from upper deck (was not raining), lobby broken, mismatched tile, no plastic ware for coffee area, elevator dirty with smudges, ice machine ran out of ice, restaurant and lounge closed, we were afraid to use hot tub because of the general condition of entire property. Luckily we used some of our Expedia points because this was not worth the posted price. Used to be a showcase resort, not anymore.

Everything about the rooms on this property is unfortunately dated, Felt very cheap and manufactured, and the choice of bed comforters makes them LOOK dirty. Really just felt very cheap. Spacious room, sure, but the cabinet doors were slightly diagonal off the hingers, the shower water pressure sucked, the cabinetry was so dated, the bed squeaked on poor hinges, the thin tiny shower was claustrophobic, and it just felt kind of blah and uninspired. Loved having a patio with the view of the ocean, but honestly, I couldn't shake the sensation that the patio felt like it was straining to hang onto the building. Eeek!

Ocean View Room with NO view. Definitely not as advertised on Expedia. I was told they are so understaffed that they have a limited amount of rooms that do not match what's avail to book on third party travel sites. Upon arrival: dirty blankets on the floor outside of my room door, sand all over the dresser, DEAD WORMS on the carpet and no shower curtain are just the highlights. I actually had to wash the dirty windows myself because they were so hazy and filthy I could barely see outside.

I really liked the Shilo Inn. The room was clean and big and had a half divider between the bed area and the dining/living area. Also, there was a sink in the large bathroom as well as a (bathroom) sink with a lot of counter space! It is a large facility and someday I hope it can be what it used to, full of life with the restaurants open. I would definitely go there again!

We had a wonderful view of the ocean. The kitchen area was very nice with a gas fireplace. The only downside was we couldn't figure out the heating system and the mattresses could probably be replaced in the near future. The room itself was very nice with 2 queen beds.

The room is older and showing its age. The beds and pillows were comfortable, the room was clean. Not sure why an old CRT TV that didn't work was in the room. The gas fireplace showed very little ‘flame’ and no heat. Ocean view is stretching things, it was more like ocean hearing which was still relaxing. I’d recommend if you find a good rate.

This property hasn’t been updated since early 2000. 2nd time we have stayed, equally as bad. In the room there was no shower curtain, 2 of 3 sinks didn’t work at all. There was no towels in the room . Front desk tried to fix but phones were down. Room smells musty, fridge hasn’t been cleaned in a while, linens are as old as the furniture. Restaurant has been closed for 5 years. This is not worth the cost.
