“Couldn’t be happier with my stay at the Happy Shack. Owners are consummate hosts. Check in/out was effortless but more than anything, the views of the Jemez mountains was majestic and happy-making. Will def be back for another stay.”

“The cabin was quiet. There were no neighbors around during our trip. We watched the deer walk eat in the evening time. The kitchen had everything we needed for 2 dinners. The fireplace was big with plenty of wood. I am happy the owners rent this place for 2 night stays. Checking in and out was not complicated. Owners were easy to contact. We would stay here again. ”

“Very nice home surrounded by gorgeous Ponderosa. Very quiet, relaxing and comfortable. The wrap around deck is great to hang out on when not hiking numerous fantastic hiking trails nearby. We enjoyed our stay very much.”

“Cabin was clean and everything was good and comfortable. Jemez and the Valles Caldera are fantastic. The parking is tuff and access was bad due to snow and slick road. You need a 4X4 in the winter / anytime.??? The snow and hot tub were awesome, but the snow cause the electricity to be out on the last morning of our stay. Enjoyed our stay !”

“Hummingbird Hacienda was a great location for a stay in Chama. The house is comfortable and decorated nicely. We had plenty of room and no issues. I highly recommend this rental.”

“There were pluses and minuses to our stay. We wanted quiet…check. We wanted views…check. The grounds have a convenience store, and a cafe ( closed Wednesday and Thursday) nice feature. Close enough to Chama, check! However, the communication with the owner was hit and miss and that’s being generous. The website showed another cabin as being available ( and it was not) as well as the promise of AC ( which cabin 5, the one we booked did NOT have making sleeping difficult ) When contacting owner,……
