To date, each night of my stay thus was met unfathomable discomfort and disappointment. In fact, during my stay one night, the entire hotel was evacuated shortly after 3am one morning due to a “false alarm”. The Transcorp Hilton Abuja staff and overnight management team without any further explanation to the guests at after 3am in the wee hours of the morning! We then were sent an unsigned generalized statement slipped under each of our doors as an “apology” around 7am.
For tangible examples so that you can further understand my disappointment with this Hilton brand of hotel, my 9 night stay has started off by being placed in a room that I did not reserve for the first night “due to lack of availability to meet my request” per your staff. Secondly, the temporary room that I was placed in had stains and a filthy duvet which is evidence of uncleanliness. That very first night here, after my arrival from a more than 14 hours in flight/transit, it took over one hour for your staff to arrive to the temporary room to remove and replace the duvet!
In terms of food quality and food service, I have had to report to your staff at the Bukka restaurant during several different times for breakfast, (as I have also paid to have breakfast included in my lodging), that I have either had dirty cups, cutlery, and/or food that was subpar! Imagine trying to help yourself to fish stew and chewing on fish scales!
Each day of my stay was met daily disappointments and blunders by the staff!
