“Acerenza is een meer dan 2000 jaar oud stadje gelegen op een bergtop van meer dan 800 m hoog met in het centrum een Romaanse kathedraal. Het huis ligt in één van de smalle stegen dichtbij een parkeerplaats van dit stadje. Het pand is oeroud, maar totaal gerenoveerd. De overwelfde slaapkamer bevindt zich op een lager niveau dan de woonkeuken, waardoor die heerlijk koel blijft. De ontvangst was uiterst hartelijk en vooraf werden we goed geïnformeerd over allerlei activiteiten en……

“Did not even come close to our expectations. We checked in just to have somewhere to catch our breath and look for alternative accommodation. Left without talking to the host as we didn't want to waste any more time there. It was a converted garage and the so called courtyard was non excistent as your car needed to be parked in what was in fact the driweway.”

“Es una casa encantadora nos ha sorprendido gratamente , tiene absolutamente de todo, no le falta nada! Si tengo que poner una pega es que no hay división entre los dos dormitorios, y en nuestro caso éramos todos adultos, algo muy ventajoso si viajas con niños pero que nos ha quitado intimidad.”

Once she discovered we were wine producers from California on a research trip of Nebbiolo, Sangiovese and Aglianico in the Basilicata wine region, she arranged the meeting of local Cantina owners to view their vineyards and very historic cantinas. “mi è stata "assegnata" questa struttura,, in quanto quella da me prenotata era chiusa, ma l'indirizzo è stato comunicato all'ultimo momento ed era a 55 minuti i macchina, quindi non idonea. Ho chiesto un riscontro e magari un parziale rimborso NON HO MAI AVUTO NEMMENO UNA RISPOSTA”
