“This property was very clean and well equipped. The owner replied quickly to questions. The area is very quiet and the view was great. You do need to buy groceries before you arrive because there are no stores close by. We would definitely stay here again.”

Self-catering was very easy with the well-stocked store nearby, as well as larger options not far away in Gairloch. “My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful three weeks at Foinaven, and had a couple of friends from home visit for a week during our stay. We flew in and out of Inverness and rented a car for a reasonable price so that we could take day trips here and there (we really didn’t need it much in Ullapool, except for larger grocery runs). “Well-equiped kitchen, lovely views from all rooms, the heater was not always doing what we wanted it to do, but there was a lovely fireplace, we lit some cosy fires. Very nicely remote, private lot.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Cottage was quintessential Scottish and beautiful. Beds very comfortable. Only suggestion would be to have a coffee maker for those of us who would like a pot of coffee and didn’t have a dryer. Fortunately we were able to dry clothes in the glorious sunshine while we were in the Highlands. Strathpeffer was a lovely place to visit. Drove to Ullapool for the day, great day trip. Overall, highly recommend this beautiful spot!”
