“This chateau is nothing short of fabulous. The owner, Phillipe, is gracious and generous. The chateau itself is gorgeous and close to the small town of Evreux. I recommend going kayaking on the Eure river. It all makes for a relaxing respite from the bustling, overwhelm of Paris. Only one hour away by train, this place is absolutely a gem. I can't say enough about how great of an experience it was.”

“Les Jardins de Joséphine is a charming hotel in a lovely location with beautifully maintained gardens and a high-standard building. It’s a short drive from the city, and there’s a bakery and coffee shop within walking distance. The room was stylish, comfortable, and spotless. While not huge, it had plenty of space, a comfy bed, and a modern bathroom with a great shower. Including hair conditioner would be a nice extra. The main downside was the check-in process.
