“False property”

“We stayed at this townhome for my son's baseball tournament in East Cobb. The townhome was in a cute little town but it was not a great environment. There were groups of people hanging out in the parking lot late at night. The townhouse next to us smelled like pot smoke all the time. The townhome itself was not well equipped with pots and pans for cooking. The description said it had a grill and a hot tub. Neither was available for us. The stairs going downstairs had no railing, the shower……

“We were to check in at 5 pm with a confirmed reservation. By 5 we had not received check in directions. Sat in car for over an hour trying to message the host...NO response to phone calls, texts or emails. At 6 pm, we received an email was canceled due to some "maintenance issue". We were sitting right outside the apartment building door and no one bothered to speak to us in person or by phone. No consideration of our 4 hour drive to get there, or where we would stay that night on a busy major……

Host would not answer messages or phone calls of the day of check in, Check in scheduled for 3pm and no response from the host. We had to contact VRBO directly and two hours past our check in were informed that our reservation had been cancelled and now had no place to stay after driving for 9 hours.”

“Pros: Proximity to Truist Park, easy check in Cons: 1. I booked this property and immediately messaged the host asking exact proximity to the Ballpark and if early check-in was available. The property owner had two weeks to respond before I hit my deadline of the booking being nonrefundable. VRBO had to reach out to the property owner to get an answer. 2. Upon arrival, there was food in the kitchen sink. After opening the dishwasher, it was flooded in the bottom and smelled like it had been……
