The accommodation was close to the buses, trams, and the mall. The price of a bus trip to Handorf was only $1, such an incredible price. The room was good, but the carpet was a little tired and stained; however, the bed was very comfortable. The shower pressure was amazing, and the shower was of a generous size. We had a bath, which was lovely to soak in after a long day walking around to see the sights.

Air conditioning didn’t work at all well - kept turning the temperature up to make it warmer but it was still cold. I had received an email telling me to ask at check-in about an extra perk/reward for becoming a silver member, but staff knew nothing about this.

We stayed at the Mayfair for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay! The staff were friendly and polite and the room was comfortable. Having drinks at the rooftop bar was the perfect way to enjoy the evening. Not to mention, the location was fantastic and conveniently located across from Rundle St Mall. I would have given 5 stars for everything if not for the slightly aged room. For example, all USB charging sockets in the room were broken. And teh layout was slightly odd, e.g. power outlets were in far corners and the room phone was tucked away in a corner almost behind the cupboard. I suppose that’s also because its a heritage building converted into a hotel. Also, another little inconvenience is that there isn’t a proper driveway/drop-off point at the hotel and you need to get off/on at the loading zone along the street, but when the loading zone is full (which was often), it’s really difficult to load/unload your luggage.

Loved my recent stay at the Mayfair. Twin room to spoil my Mum this time. Service is outstanding from reception to bar to breakfast at Mayflower. We will definitely be back again. Even used the valet service this time too. Friendly and efficient.

Avoid this hotel. It has no respect whatsoever for its customers. I stayed in room 607, and on the same floor, an all-night party took place—noisy, with people screaming in the corridors, making it impossible for anyone else to sleep. I politely asked the guests to lower their voices, called and spoke twice with the reception, all to no effect. The management showed total disregard for the comfort and rights of other guests. I didn’t expect Australians to behave in such a gross and selfish manner, nor did I expect a hotel to tolerate this level of disrespect. The result: a miserable sleepless night. I might as well have slept on a park bench for the same outcome.

What a fabulous venue for a staycation. The Mayfair was outstanding in every aspect. The roof top bar was a lovely ambience even with rugged winter weather outside. The Den was a lovely space to chill, and the room service breakfast was excellent!

Really nice room, we were upgraded as room wasnt ready when we arrived ( 2 hours after check in). Staff were friendly.

It wasn’t a very pleasant experience. The staff was a bit rude. We arrived very late due to flight delays and when the staff at the front desk is unwelcoming, it spoils the stay even more.

Our 2 night stay at the Mayfair Hotel was great and very close to the shopping mall. The staff were very friendly and nice and very efficient. My only complaint is the bathroom shower in room 606 not enough water flowing out and very frustrating when you want a hot shower after a long day out.

The Internet in our room did work at all for 3 nights 4 days. We complained but nobody came to look or tried to fix it. We asked to work in the business centre which was impractical and not private for sensitive calls. The Mattress was also too soft on the edges and gave us back ache and bad sleep. This is my 6th stay and the other 5 were fine
