“Fantastic apartment with good soundproofing / adherance to quiet hours. This is not a hotel; during your stay you are responsible for keeping your space clean. Our room was sparkling upon arrival, with a gorgeous view of the mountain across from us. Our host was very considerate and even let us try some of her homemade wine. The apartments were walking distance from several phenomenal restaurants. The beach I would not recommend walking to. The distance is small but the incline is massive.……

We’d booked 3 nights at the hotel but ended up staying for 10 nights as we were massively let down by the villa owner on the day of arrival in Kefalonia (we’d booked 5 months prior). “I stayed at Barefoot Contessa in mid-June 2025. I was holidaying as a solo traveller which I have only done a few times before and so was very anxious leading up to the trip.
