“Based on previous reviews we were looking forward to our stay in Melfi and were not disappointed. The apartment is bright and modern and perfectly located within very short walking distance of cafes and restaurants as well as Melfi castle. “Acerenza is een meer dan 2000 jaar oud stadje gelegen op een bergtop van meer dan 800 m hoog met in het centrum een Romaanse kathedraal. Het huis ligt in één van de smalle stegen dichtbij een parkeerplaats van dit stadje. Het pand is oeroud, maar totaal gerenoveerd. De overwelfde slaapkamer bevindt zich op een lager niveau dan de woonkeuken, waardoor die heerlijk koel blijft. “Did not even come close to our expectations. We checked in just to have somewhere to catch our breath and look for alternative accommodation. Left without talking to the host as we didn't want to waste any more time there. It was a converted garage and the so called courtyard was non excistent as your car needed to be parked in what was in fact the driweway.”

“Un petit hôtel à l'ancienne comme il n'en existe plus beaucoup, situé dans une charmante petite ville de la Basilicate. Un peu dans son jus mais pour une étape ça passe. La chambre est correcte, le lit confortable et la salle de bain un peu petite mais fonctionnelle. C'est très calme en revanche. Le petit-déjeuner n'est pas très varié avec beaucoup de pâtisseries "maison" mais un peu sèches à mon goût. Il y a une pizzeria juste à côté, non testée.
