“This sweet retreat is in a little neighborhood near Edenton. We spent a couple of days there and driving time to Edenton Historic district, Elizabeth City and Merchant’s Mill Pond make this a great location. In the evenings…..very quiet. We saw ducks, bald eagles and herons from the back porch….and the sunsets were fabulous.”

“My family and I had an amazing time visiting the area. The house was perfect for us and our three kids. Having the two living areas (dens) were a big hit. The kids had one living room, watching what they wanted to, while my husband and I had the other. The house was very clean. We were provided clean towels/wash cloths, extra sheets, garbage bags, paper towel, toilet paper, etc. Ms. Amanda was quick to respond to all of my questions. “My family needed a place to stay for Memorial Day weekend. It worked out much better than a hotel. The beds were comfortable. It was as advertised. An old farm house that brought back many memories. Will definitely stay again if the need arises. ”

I did expect the “entire house” listing on Vrbo to actually be just myself and my family in the house, but it is a house divided into two apartments so there may be other neighbors/guests during your visit. The other side/guests have their own separate entry. The neighbors did not interfere with my stay, it just wasn’t expected. It was a nice stay overall and I would recommend……
