Do not stay here. Everything was awful from the start.
Despite the hotel saying “check-in whenever,” you have to go to the Holiday Inn to check in at Motel 6. I was put in a room where the additional lock did not work, and the door was questionable to fully close. The floor was so dirty that I made a path of towels whenever I didn’t wear socks. The feet area of my white socks are completely brown. There was water dripping in the bathroom from the floor above me. The window unit has two options: blast you with 50 degrees, or bake you at 84 degrees. Changing the temperature does not work.
On top of that, management is awful. I had changed my reservation 30 hours before my payment was required, switching from one night to two. When I had checked in at the front desk, I confirmed that it had been switched to two nights. It had.
Tell me why, at 1 AM, my door was opened by another person since they had been rented the room?!? If it was not for the side lock, my room would been intruded in at 1 am because of this staff’s incompetence! That is not the end of things, however. At 1:45 AM, right as I got back to sleep, the front office called my room and told me that I was only scheduled for one night. I told them, in no uncertain terms, that I had already confirmed with the front desk when I had checked in the night prior, and my checkout said 11am Sunday. They eventually admitted fault, charged me for another night, and let me get to bed. As if I could sleep comfortably after it.
