Loved the staff, especially the entertainment staff. Antonio made it fun. Mauricio in the buffet was always pleasant and made our stay more enjoyable and welcoming. Wish had more dining options and beach was rocky but great for snorkelling .

Did not receive any of the VIP benefits about asked for.. Staff English is very poor.. my wife was injured and it was very very complicated to receive simple things like a ride from our room or staff as basic as food. Will not stay here again. When I complained about so many things being missed and asked for a manager .. the manager refused to come and talk to me and instead communicated with guest services through the phone to me that they wouldn’t come. Provided an email for complaints. Bill was totally wrong information was very hard to get and biggest frustration of all was the “gluten” free options were next to nothing and required getting a chef .. who also didn’t speak English to confirm whether or not the item had gluten as my family is celiac and it is a very serious allergy. When shown that their food placards were totally wrong and very unsafe for celiacs like us on day one.. nothing was done. By day 7 still nothing was done although I pointed it out daily to all levels of kitchen management

This was our second and last trip to this property. We had enjoyed it last year but several things were different this year. At times the pool was gross. At one point, people complained and called life guards but all they did was keep calling other lifeguards to view the debris until it of course dissipated. Some thought It was vomit but we weren’t sure. At times it was difficult to be away from cigarette smoke which wasn’t great Food was a bit better last year. Some mornings I counted 25 people lined up for bacon and hash browns so needless to say we didn’t have any. This year they added a fee if you wanted to eat or drink at one of the other locations on the property. It wasn’t expensive but I hadn’t read that anywhere beforehand so it was annoying. There was an argument in the lobby between 2 guests that staff took too long to address and my child was a bit bothered by it. Staff are still friendly. I kept having the feeling that they didn’t have much concern for your time. Line ups at the front desk were often long if you needed to speak to someone. Check in took forever as I wasn’t able to use the online check in. I overheard other guests say they had a similar experience. Overall it just added up to a poor experience. When you have to drive by 30 plus properties much closer to Cancun, it just makes sense to try another one. The normally 70 minute drive took almost 3 hours due to traffic and construction but obviously not the resorts fault.

Just returned from a beautiful, fun & very relaxing family vacation at Coba! We loved, loved our stay! Buildings are a bit dated but clean! Beautiful, well maintained grounds and a gorgeous beach! Food wasn’t Amado g but VERY GOOD! They also had plenty of options for our picky 6 and 9 year old. Booking through Expedia gave us “VIP access” which was great! We were given a wrist band that allowed us to visit all 3 properties (Coba, Tulum & Akumal) so that we could use all 3 resorts beach, pools, buffets & snack huts by the beach. The only down side to booking Coba was that you could only book 2 restaurants and had ti eat at the buffets the other nights. Luckily the buffet was pretty good! (We’ve been to many Caribbean resorts) If you want unlimited access to booking restaurants you need to book Akumal resort. Coba is affordable and we feel we got our money worth! The activities at the pools (especially Tulum pool) were so fun! This is a big resort but never waited long for a shuttle. Definitely recommend Bahía Príncipe!

Bahias are affordable and reliable and Coba is no exception; a solid 4-star resort where there’s something for everyone. Buffet food is always decent, a la carte food is very good, and there are ample loungers around many pools. No “towel game” here, because the staff remove things placed on loungers before 9am, and it’s definitely enforced. Not to worry, we were always able to find a shady spot under a cabana or a palapa. Location of resort is amazing; even though it’s an hour drive from the airport, it’s close to Tulum, Xcaret, Xel-Ha, cenotes, etc. All restaurants have mobility ramps, and there are golf cart trams to help you get around this large resort.

I stayed at the Coba resort for 7 nights with my husband. The room was as shown in the pictures. The fridge had a big bottle of water, two beers and three sodas. There was another bottle of water outside at room temperature. Theres a coffee machine with a pouch of coffee, there is tea, creamer and sugar. They restock these every day if consumed. There are sufficient towels in the bathroom. If you need anything just call the concierge and they are very responsive. The buffets of all four hotels are excellent. So many options for all tastes and preferences. I am vegetarian and had always great and healthy choices. There are snack restaurants open while the buffet is closed, so good too, I was impressed. The hotels are connected via this carts that run all day around the properties. They take you to the other hotels, the Hacienda, and the beaches. Resorts are great for families, couples and kids all ages. The social areas are spacious and there’s plenty of place in the beach and at the pools. Even the buffet restaurants are enormous but never feels crowded. The social area at the Coba is the nicer from my experience. There’s this big room after the lobby where you can sit to have a drink or a coffee and passing that is this big plaza where they have shows and music in the evening. Very nice. The beach I preferred the Tulum because it was quiet and there was no loud music coming from the pool, also less crowded. Sometimes the pool areas where too loud because of the music.

Paid the hotel for transportation to and from the airport. We had to wait at the airport for a 1/2 an hour which did not bother us but on the way home we where 5 minutes late to the lobby and are van did not waite for us... There were no doormen there at all to help us when we arrived at the lobby and later we found out our ride showed up at 7:25 instead of 7:35....we were there at 7:40 five minutes late....no one at the hotel would even help us .... I have been here 5 times before with my family and always had a good time but I will not be returning after this trip

The dining selection was bad they tell you to book a week ahead but app doesnt work..sold me tickets to the ciesta and then we missed half of it waiting for a bus.. Also pay for transportation from the airport to the hotel from the hotel to the airport... On the way home we were 5 minutes late and the bus did not wait till we had to pay for a taxi.. Nobody would help us was not impressed at all.... I have been here 5 times and always had a good experience this was not a good one
