The room definitely needed work/updating/repairs. The baseboard was missing & whatever it was where the baseboard was supposed to be was just hanging there, not even attached. It looks like the bathroom (shower) may have been remodeled, but
even the wall/baseboard around that wasn't repaired after the updates. Small bathroom. The hotel wasn't booked, it didn't look like, I'm not sure why you would give a room like that to someone? I am actually a member of IHG Hotels, but booked under Expedia because it was cheaper. I have to book a stay on the way home, I will be finding another hotel to stay at.
What's funny, or sad, is we paid over $80 less at a hotel in Louisville that had a huge, high class, beautiful guest room. So our expectations were definitely high for something $80 higher! The point is, if you expect someone to pay that kind of money, you should furnish presentable rooms. Also was charged an additional 'hold' charge, which wouldn't have been a big deal, but why wouldn't you tell someone when they are checking in instead of me having to ask about it the next morning when I see a higher charge in my bank account??!! Very disappointed in the IHG Hotels!
