I stay (or used to) 10-15 days a year here for business. Not again. The shower was not usable- it had only all the way ice cold or all the way piping hot- attempting to adjust the temp would make a noise like the pipes were bursting, so no shower on day 1 of my work. This is fine- things happen- but I first told the desk guy at 6:30 AM, he assured me I was wrong, I asked for it to be checked and updated during the day. Nobody called. I called them at 3 PM and asked for an update, they said it was fine, that "housekeeping tried it" and it worked fine. Hmm. I got back from work at 9:30 PM to find it was indeed NOT fine. I went back to the desk. They insisted that it was fine. AS IF I NEVER USED A SHOWER IN MY LIFE. I asked the guy to take two minutes to come to the room and show him. He refused. He then said if I didn't like the shower I could try another room. That would have been a great solution MUCH earlier. I did indeed finally get a room switch, where the shower worked just fine. I CANNOT BELIEVE they just sat there and tried to gaslight me for an entire day, as if I was an idiot. I'd really have expected some explanation or apology, or-gasp- some discount on an usuable room for one night- once an actual competent staff member checked out my original room's shower, but of course got none. Really, really angry about this "customer service". Ugh ugh ugh. Not many other choices in RR, but avoid this one.
