“This hotel was very nice and a very reasonable rate. The manager was unfailingly nice. So nice. Unfortunately, there were a few things that could have been better: 1) As of Feb 2025, there is construction right next door, as new apartments are being built. It makes things quite noisy between 8 am and 530 pm. It would have been nice to receive notice about this in advance of our visit. 2) It would have been nice if shampoo was provided; 3) Breakfast was delicious; unfortunately, however,……

“We kept to ourselves because we didn't realize there was a shared common room upstairs, however we realized as well that it wasn't open all the time since I think the owners prefer to be home, which makes sense! The place was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the school, which some may not like, but it was great to see the town "alive" and bustling, even when it was raining! The host was SUPER sweet but spoke very little English, so we mostly conversed with his daughter who was great……

“Sotavento is a lovely facility in a breathtaking setting. My room was comfortable, clean, and well-equipped. I *loved* the jacuzzi! However, the facility was understaffed. It seemed there was only one staff member on duty, and s/he was multitasking with cooking, waiting tables, and managing the front desk (and more I'm sure). Though I may have been the only guest, there should have been at least two guest-facing staff on duty 24/7. I didn't choose to do any of the recreational activities, but if……

“We loved our stay here. Right in the heart of town, we didn't need a car for anything. Rooms are clean, quiet and newly remodeled. We bumped into the owner on the way out and he was very helpful and knowledgeable about where to go in town. Will 100% stay here again when we come back. ”
