“Two besties met halfway for a girls weekend. Close to Alexandria and all it has to offer. The Boathouse was perfect for the two of us. We enjoyed an evening on the deck with the beautiful fall colors on the lake. Host was available by phone and let me know that by a phone call before I checked in. Everything was easy and I would not hesitate to book again. In fact my friend even said we need to do this again. ”

“We had a wonderful 4 nights at this property! Beautiful views and awesome location. We enjoyed swimming right at the property but also loved the ability to rent the pontoon and take that around the lake. The beds were very comfortable, and the property was stocked with everything we could ever need. The garage space was great to hang out in and offered a nice gathering area. Would consider coming back, and highly recommend. ”

“Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family. We had plenty of room for 3 generations!! The space was perfect. Loved having indoor games and theater room for the slightly rainy time of our stay. Check in was easy. Ken was the perfect, prompt manager who responded immediately to a few questions we had! Fishing was wonderful….. many hours and many fish made for a perfect time on the water! Loved the hot tub, the dock, the fire pit, outdoor seating….. What more can we……

“It was a fantastic property, exactly as described. The uniqueness of the shape made it really cool. It was lovely cátedra on a beautiful lake and kayaks were provided. The owner was always available if for some reason we needed to communicate. Everybody would enjoy their stay and would definitely miss out on an amazing experience if they didn’t check it out. I can say with absolute certainty that we will be booking the cabin again in the fall and winter. ”

“This was a beautiful property with a spacious lawn and sandy beach. We loved having the big game room for rainy days and the 2 large bunk rooms were comfortable and were great for all the kids. We did a girls room and a boys room. Lots of towels and linens and huge washer/ dryer. Would've been nice to have a master bathroom, but we made it work with the 2 bathrooms. Overall, great stay and would definitely come back!”

“Wow! Just wow! Stayed at The Starling House for my the weekend of daughter's wedding at Carlos Creek Winery. The home is beautiful and the pictures don’t do it justice! Everything we needed was provided and our large family enjoyed every minute of our stay. The bridesmaids all got ready at the house and we took some amazing photos around the house. Thank you for helping make great memories! Will definitely stay here again! ”

“We came up with my extended family (14 of us) to celebrate my parents’ 50th anniversary. The home was STUNNING and there was plenty of room to sleep, eat (indoor dining table and outdoor patio tables seat 16), and hang out. There are coffee makers everywhere too, which my family loved. We quite enjoyed taking out the paddle boat, kayaks, and paddle boards (plenty of life jackets too). The water is shallow for quite a ways out which made swimming easy … and our hosts also graciously provided……

“Nice House! Close to the water park (Arrow Wood). 2 restaurants close. Needed a few very minor repairs that did not affect our stay. Will definitely be going back!”
