"A most enjoyable stay at the Hope and Anchor, room was clean and comfortable, one or two minor points in the bathroom but nothing that spoilt our stay in the lovely location, we had dinner in the restaurant and the food was really nice as was the Northumbrian breakfast"

"We stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and had a great time. Our room was lovely and very clean. The breakfast menu is varied plentiful and very good. Gillian and Karen are very friendly and helpful. Have to mention the desserts which we had one evening which were delicious."
