“The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice. The main drive for Hetton Hall is nearby but that wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxing time in this excellent property. “I didn't have a pen so I couldn't write in the visitors book but oh my, what a lovely cottage. Just as described & as it appears on website. Ideal location a 5 minute walk into town centre, Lidl opposite, but not visable from cottage, for anything you might need. Perfect, will hopefully be back.”

“Excellent cottage in great location, very close to town but quietly tucked away. Everything you need for a stay, all fixtures and fittings of good quality. Only minor niggle is limited windows that open and shower was very slow to drain otherwise highly recommended.”
