We went kayaking on the lake, grilled out, played outdoor games, sat by the fire with complete privacy. This property is nestled in by the trees and the lake. Jane was an absolute fantastic host. From booking in February right through our trip, she was friendly, accommodating and answered any questions I had immediately.……

“Our family spent a wonderful week at Rustic Lodge. The expansive waterfront deck was the place to be during the very hot week. Upon arrival we discovered plenty of storage and refrigerator space. The rooms were larger than they appeared in the property photos. We all loved the Adirondak feel of the Lodge and look forward to returning next summer.”

“I had an incredibly relaxing weekend at this little cabin. It was cozy and clean as can be, and everything appeared as listed. For such a little place it’s packed full of amenities, and the setting of the woods and pond is beautiful and tranquil. Even the outhouse was clean and had motion sensor lights for nighttime! Danny, the host, was super friendly and responsive with any of my questions, and check in/check out was a breeze. Will definitely be looking to come back next year!”

“This is a very nice property with more positives than negatives.I'll put the negatives first: No curtains on windows other than in the bedrooms/bathroom. This one seems kind of odd, but there is no way to cover the windows in the kitchen, dining room, or living room (which faces the lake). This combined with slightly close neighbors means that the lights they leave on or conversations can be seen and heard. I could not get the side door to lock. “My brother and I, along a couple of friends stayed at this home - a remarkable restoration of a beautiful, historic building. We grew up spending summers on the Indian River, fishing, swimming and spending time with neighbors. We were able to do the same 30 years later, reconnecting with old friends and neighbors along the river.
