“I don’t often write reviews, but for this property I will.
It is one of the most unique “hotels” I have come across in my traveling experience, if you can call it a hotel.
This site used to be a “Kervanseray” and was used as a resting stop by travelers (and their beasts) hundreds of years ago.
The property was recently restored, and the architecture is magnificent. The amenities are modern (wifi etc), and yet And the serenity takes you back in time.
The service provided by the staff makes……
“The old guy is probably the most miserable receptionist I've ever come across. I apologized for not speaking Turkish, and used Google translate from then on - he refused to talk into my phone for translation and kept getting annoyed that I didn't understand his Turkish. Kept accusing me of being a Syrian refugee! When he brought me to the room and I placed my bag on the bed he shouted at me and pointed to the not particularly clean floor indicating my bag should go there!!”
