“Spent Thanksgiving holiday here with family. Was very nice place and having “spreading out room” on the property was wonderful. Afternoon games and a little fishing (didn’t catch anything but….) was the perfect getaway and no crowds to worry about like being at popular destinations. Owners very pleasant and easy to work with and despite the recent storms, the property was surprisingly well maintained. Would highly recommend for a getaway from it all. ”

“My wife's parents live close by in McAlpin and we need a place for ourselves and our 2 grown girls and one boy-friend. We really loved the place. It was very nice and clean. We didn't get to use the canoe or the paddle boat, but we did make a fire two of the nights in the fire pit and had smores! The place is very peaceful and quiet. “We came to celebrate my daughter’s birthday with some nature time. We had a lovely stay. The owner was very upfront about damage from a hurricane so I knew I should expect it. There were downed trees and remnants of what looked to be a forest fire. The view on the dock was priceless! The two kids rooms were a bit warm.”

“The house and location were very nice. However, on the day of check-in, the owner informed me that he had begun to move into the home with several boxes. Upon arrival, we found the dishwasher, cabinets, closets, and refrigerator/freezer full (some partially used food and drink), obviously indicating someone living there. No where for us to hang clothes or store food for our 5 night stay. A stack of clothes were in the corner of a bedroom. We had to spend extra to eat out 11 times. This was……

“I picked the home because of the large screened porch. And it did not disappoint; peaceful and comfy. I spent hours out there with a book. We were surprised to learn the house is mostly underground which makes it quite unique. We were also surprised to find the on-property gun range and out door gym. Be sure to check out all the springs located nearby. And finally, the owners and property managers were very responsive and helpful. ”
