05.14.25 - King bed, 2nd floor, Buffet Breakfast! - This is a great property and great staff. I have nothing but praise for the staff's welcoming manner, attention to requests and willingness to assist. The buffet breakfast is by far the highlight! The variety, freshness, options of condiments and beverages PLUS the presentation of the food is FAR beyond what a hotel of this caliber usually offers. I felt as if it was a restaurant, which happened to have a hotel inside it...not the other way around. Very nice! The only thing needed improvement is the condition of the room. I had a king bed, desk, armchair and armoire...plus the usual corresponding furniture. The room door is odd. It's a key-swipe lock, but the handle is inverted, so you pull up instead of push down. This is unlike ANY hotel I ever stayed in, plus the door sticks, the security latch is loose which damaged the wood, so in general the door is cumbersome to operate. The top of the armoire was so dusty, when I wiped it down, the hand towel was black with my handprint on it. The floors were mostly clean; some spots were sticky. The bedding and pillows were great; feather down pillows and crisp white sheets. There is no towel rack in the bathroom, however, so you need to get creative and hang towels "somewhere else". Speaking of hangers, the hooks do not match the bar on which they hang so they constantly fell to the floor. The room just needs a make-over and update. Otherwise, 8.5 of 10 Recommend! Thnx

A nice quiet hotel for the brief time i was there. Facilities were a bit dated but it was nice, clean, and the beds were comfy and easy to sleep in. I ended up sleeping longer than intended on the final day of my stay because I didn't want to get up from my nice comfy bed. Also, despite only having a second floor room, i had a good view of a thunderstorm that was passing over the city at the time.
