The hotel is right next door to a QT gas station/truck stop. There were lots of big trucks coming and going. The front desk lady was nice. The property itself LOOKS 'new' from the outside...until you pull up. There were people working on their cars in the parking lot. Several men were just standing around outside. So that seemed kinda shady to us.
Anyhow, the room was very near the building door (for a quick in and out). On the room door - the swing lock was missing the ball end. So we could only rely on the door lock. The room had a kitchen (yay!), but didn't have
any cookware, silverware or dishes (boo!) The room was dusty, dingy, plain and smelled like stale cigarette smoke. In the bathroom, the shower didn't work. The water came out at the faucet..and there was a showerhead, but there was no diverter to divert the water to the showerhead. (boo!)
I don't think we were expecting an 'extended stay' type of hotel when we booked.
