Amazing Lake Home

Beautiful. Private and peaceful lake home on Caribou Lake in Grand Lake Township just minutes to Duluth, shopping, and golfing. The home is located in peaceful Saginaw country. This is not to be confused with the Caribou Lake far north in the Lutsen area. This is a great Spring/ Summer get-away. Open living area with gorgeous views of the lake from almost every room. Maple cabinets in the kitchen. Free standing gas fireplace with a rock wall in the living room. Private lofted owners retreat on the second level with your own private deck, great new sauna, nice Jacuzzi, and amenities galore. Bonus area above the garage includes two bunk beds and a hide-a-bed couch. Any more than 6 people staying it is $50 per night per person. Absolute maximum of 9 guests at once. Outdoors features a lakeside bar, firepit, and 100 feet of level lake front with a sandy beach! The home also now comes with 2 kayaks and 1 canoe for you to use. If you would like to add days at the beginning or end of your stay, just let me know in advance and we will work it out no problem at all.

Quiet escape
Loved our stay here. Plenty of room for our family of 6, but not so big that you loose that cozy togetherness feel. Fun games including hoops, workout area, beautiful views; we loved the fireplace and sauna. Easy drive to Hermantown and Duluth too.

Great location and lake access
The property has great access to the lake for swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and playing in the sand. If you are traveling with small children there's a few good fyi's: there's a spiral staircase going up to the lofted master bedroom. Also, the room with the bunk beds is on the other side of the house from the lofted master. If your small ones need you in the middle of the night, it's a bit of a trek. Otherwise, lots to take advantage of with the lake & outdoor amenities!

The checkin process was very easy. The owner Hunter was very helpful and responded quickly. My family and I really enjoyed being outside and the lake access. My kids enjoyed going fishing. All of us enjoyed the view and wildlife we saw while outback. My family is asking when we can go back. I highly recommend this place for a getaway. We will definitely be staying again in the future. Thanks for letting us stay at your amazing place and having so much to do. You made us feel right at home.

Total Relaxation
We enjoyed our stay in this home! Lakefront views are beautiful. Neighborhood is quiet and wooded yet easy access to Duluth. Lots of seating for relaxing. The layout of the house is curious - as mentioned in some of the other reviews, the bedroom and bathroom in the loft are somewhat open to the living area which makes it feel less private - not a problem for us but may be a consideration depending on your group. The kitchen is well-stocked and has a lot of counter space for meal prep. Host Hunter quickly responded to all of our questions. We would definitely stay again!

Northwoods retreat
Hunter was an exceptional host. He was great with communication and responded very quickly! Our weekend adventure was filled with great memories and lots of fun. This property is a short 30 minute drive from the hustle and bustle of Duluth. It is a great place to unwind and enjoy this peaceful retreat. We arrived at when it was completely dark out, so it took us a bit to get acclimated with the layout of property. I would recommend arriving in the daylight! The night sky was absolutely incredible. The sky was so clear, the air was fresh, and the stars were beautiful and bright! There was a nice fire pit area. We tried to have a fire but area was a little to damp to get the fire going. We still enjoyed the beautiful night sky. The propety was clean and well stocked. Plenty of towels, toilet paper, and paper towels. Very much appreciated that. The coffee bar station was terrific. Thank you for supplying so many different options and flavors! The kitchen was stocked with all the things you would ever need. The master bedroom loft was very spacious and cozy. The spiral staircase to get to the loft was unique. The master bathroom was large, clean and stocked well. Waking up to the view of the lake was absolutely delightful! What an incredible view! Thank you for supplying the kayaks! What a gorgeous, peaceful lake. While kayaking I saw a bald eagle perched in a tree. Simply breathtaking! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us!

Beautiful lakeside getaway!
We came for my cousin’s bachelorette. We had so much fun relaxing by the lake, canoeing, and playing games together. The house was clean and had all the essentials for a fun weekend (even croquet!) I’d highly recommend this stay and will definitely come back if time allows.

Great Family Place
Amazing property! The house was wonderful and there was a ton to do there. Kayaking, Canoeing, fishing, some yard games and a game room indoors in the converted garage with a basketball game and darts. We caught some panfish off the dock and enjoyed everything about the house. Also the house is close to Duluth within 30 minutes so we did a day trip and checked out the sights there. The owner was super responsive to questions and the check in and out was easy. We will definitely be back!

Great for Girl’s Weekend
Six of us stayed here for a girl’s weekend. We had a lovely time, loved the space and the fact that the house is right on the water. Check-in and check-out was super easy and there is a booklet there with wifi passwords, instructions for the tv and various other things. I will say, the batteries to the remote(s) for the sleep number bed in the loft bedroom died almost immediately the first night and the two who shared that bed did not sleep well because of that. (We couldn't find any batteries so we bought and put new ones in the second night and it was much better after that). The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and pots and pans for cooking. We utilized both the kayaks and the inflatable tubes provided and enjoyed the lake as much as we could during our stay. We would definitely stay here again and recommend!
