Death stairs Facebook group candidate. The stairs are steep and uneven, other than that lovely stay. There's a good continental breakfast, with three time slots 7.15-8, 8.10-9, 9.15 to 10ish as the eating area is small. Room was clean but warm. The bathroom was small but more than adequate, although possible needs some paint touch ups. Staff were incredibly helpful. The area was quiet, we slept with the balcony door open and had full night sleeps

Extremely steep staircases, the rooms are far from soundproof, you can hear every guest that walks by. The beds are comfortable but the pillows are terrible - i think they put a pillow cover on a centerblock. The area is quiet and very close to the koncert hall and museums, and plenty dining options within walking distance.

De kamer was schoon, maar er waren wat plekjes waar schimmel te zien was. De entree en de gang waren redelijk outdated, de vloerbedekking was bijna versleten. Het ontbijt was prima verzorgd. Grote plus was dat het op loopafstand van de musea en het Concertgebouw is.

What a lovely hotel! It reminds me of a townhouse inside, with a beautiful communal area for breakfast - which was delicious and has way more than your average hotel breakfast. A nice, safe, relaxing place to rest after seeing the city. It feels like it's a quiet local neighborhood, but it's only about a 10 minute walk from most of the famous museums, and maybe 20 minutes commute to Anne Frank's House and downtown sites. Hamed, who was at the front desk during my stay, is so kind and helpful. He answered all my questions and assisted me with renting a bike from the hotel, and patiently gave me tips about Amsterdam. I chose the smallest room, which required a walk up several flights of stairs - common in Europe - and it was indeed small but just right for me, and every aspect of the room was thoughtfully designed, from the cool lighting, blackout curtains, and tv mounted on the wall, to the shelf storage in the bathroom. I know they offer various sized rooms, and although I saw several other guests around, whenever it was just me, it was peaceful and quiet. I would stay again, but myself or with a group in a larger room. If they put in an elevator, I would love there! 10/10.

Property was functional, upkeep was fair and close to many areas in the De Piip neighborhood. Situated in a traditional Dutch home, it had no elevator only steep stairs to navigate. Decent stay, but may look for other options next time.

We stayed in the quadruple room, hotel staff was nice and the room was great & clean. As mentioned by the hotel the sound isolation is not the best, you might hear people walking through the corridors in the morning but it’s really not an issue. Besides that breakfast is good, the area is nice and quiet, and within walkable (less than 15 minutes) distance from Amsterdam.

First time in Amsterdam. Great location, I walked nearly everywhere rather than get a bus/tram. The staff where very welcoming and made check in and check out very easy. Clean bedroom/bathroom and a comfortable bed for a couple of nights. Very happy with my choice of hotel. Will recommend and hopefully come back

Miss this one.

Surprise late check in fee of €45 even though they have a clerk at the front counter 24 hours per day. Room was very cold with no temperature control available. Beds were very uncomfortable. Pillows were awful. Blankets were the size of bath towels.

Prima für einen Kurztrip, da ua Museumsplein zu Fuss erreichbar und alles schnell per ÖPNV. Altes Haus ohne Trittschalldämmung und mit steilen Treppen, nichts für Gehbehinderte o Geräuschempfindliche, aber für unsere Familie (50, 50, 15, 12 Jahre alt) ideal im Viererzimmer. Autokurzstopp problemlos zum Be-/Entladen (6€/Std), wir haben das Auto dann in einem entfernten Parkhaus (Olympisch Stadion, 50€/Tag) abgestellt.

Hotel e atendimento péssimos!

Nossa estadia foi péssima, o atendimento da recepção foi extremamente grosseiro e logo de entrada foi cobrada uma taxa de €100,00 como caução da estadia mesmo todo o pagamento sendo feito antecipado via cartão de crédito, o qual não foi devolvido. As escadarias eram extremamente íngremes e com degraus estreitos, praticamente tínhamos que escalar a escada para subir sem nenhum auxílio. O quarto era frio pois a calefação não funcionava bem. Desde o momento do nosso check in até o momento do nosso check out as tolhas de banho não foram trocadas, tivemos de usar a toalha úmida todos os dias. No anúncio não foi comunicado que era proibido consumir bebidas (não alcoólicas) e alimentos nos quartos, o que nos causou bastante constrangimento com as nossas refeições, nos obrigando a comer fora todos os dias.

It was quite for the most part, some of the tenants were noisy, but it is what it is. The front desk was helpful as they could be. The downside, housekeeping services took my personal towel, and the front desk made amends by giving me a free breakfast on the day I was checking out. Overall a wonderful experience and I wouldn't hesitate to book there again.
