Make up of room was not available
They have only one trash can in toilet and there are no one coming to clean the room for 2 days. I have spoken to the cleaning man and put the tag for making up the room and to my surprise there was still no one clean/make up the room for 2 nights. I have never experience such unclean room anywhere in the world. The receptionist ended up gave us a trash bag at 11pm so we can just put our overflowed trash inside after we waited for 1 hour for the cleaning staff to come yet they did not come.

Near Metro and 15 min to the central station. Hotel is new and comfortable. Will stay here again if visit Amsterdam again.
Right next to Overamstel station, which makes it really easy to go anywhere in the city.

location, public transit connection and 10-15 minutes from the major city attractions...

I was assigned room 924 at first and it was by the elevators. There is a very loud noise when elevators go up and down, a very high pitch wind noise. I told the Hotel Reception the following day and was able to move to a different room. Hotel Reception told me it’s an known issue and the elevators will be repaired. Ask not to be by elevators if possible!

In general the hotel is really nice. Staff was really helpful and added one extra bed to the room because of our request. However they said I have to pay extra 45€ during check out even though I have already paid for the extra bed and breakfast during check in. I asked what is it for and then they checked everything and said everything is okay so I’m wondering what if I didn’t ask about this transaction. Breakfast is excellent. Close to metro station but located in the quiet area. Room wasn’t very good cleaned. I could feel bad smell in the shower in the first day. We requested cleaning service on the 3rd day. I guess they just changed our towels and throw the garbage. They didn’t bring new soap/shampoo bottle and didn’t clean the floor. So this place is fine but definitely could be better

For a 4 star hotel, I expect the rooms to be clean and in a good overall condition. We had multiple rooms and all showers were full of chalk. In every of these rooms one part of the furniture were in "heavily used" or simply damaged (a layer of wood from the nightstand has come off / the leather of the stool has "holes and deep scratches in it / ...). In one of the rooms the sink in the shower was really clogged up. Even after multiple cleaning services, the sink remains clogged.
After a few days the breakfast has been moved from the very welcoming breakfast room to the confrence rooms. The reason for this hasn't been communicated. Just a short message with an "Sorry" for the inconvenience has been published. Eating in these conference rooms was very uncomfortable. Also the hygiene standards (like the sneeze guards over the food) were simply ignored for that time.
They have a modern elevator system. You have a panel which is touch based. You select the floor you want to go to and the touch panel tells you which elevator to take (A, B, C or D). However, if you are on the 16th floor or something you sometimes have to wait for more than 5 minutes to the get the elevator. One of my colleagues actually waited 10 minutes ... there is no sign for a stairway but on the other hand, going to the 10th floor by stairs every single day?

Hotel was beautiful. Only 2 minutes from the metro station and only a short ride into the centre. Will definitely be booking this hotel again next year.
