Our recent stay at this hotel, unfortunately, fell short of expectations due to several concerns related to cleanliness, safety, and overall guest experience.
Upon arrival, the first room we were given lacked a functioning safety latch and the sliding door did not have a lock, which raised security concerns. We were moved to a different room, but that room had its own issues: the curtains, bed sheets, pillow covers, and bed skirt were stained. The air quality was poor, with a persistent musty, mold-like smell and no noticeable ventilation. The carpet felt unclean, and although it wasn’t cold enough outside to trigger the heat, the room was uncomfortably cold inside, while also feeling stuffy due to the lack of airflow.
Throughout our stay, we noticed plates and trash left in the hallways and common areas in the morning, which were still there when we returned in the evening. The pool didn’t appear to be cleaned all week, and the on-site bar—which offered two complimentary drink tickets per stay—was consistently closed by the time we returned in the evening, meaning we were never able to use them.
Parking was another downside. We were charged $30 per day (after fees) to park in an almost empty lot, which seemed unreasonable for guests staying at the hotel.
There were a few positives: when I expressed concerns about the cold, the staff promptly provided a space heater and an extra blanket. Towels were brought up upon request since housekeeping didn’t service our room.
