This impressive home consists of three bedrooms, three baths, and 3,289 Sq Ft. of living space siting on pristine 2.5 acres of white sand beach frontage area. Moloa'a Bay was the site location for the TV pilot of "Gilligan's Island". Here is where the USS Minnow and its crew originally shipwrecked. This may be as close as you will come to living on Gilligan's Island. Here is everything you ever dreamed Kauai to be! A perfect crescent sand beach and turquoise waters. Mystical Moloa'a Bay is located on the North East side of Kauai. Truly "Off-The-Beaten-Path" giving one the sense of an exclusive & genuine experience of the REAL Hawaii.

Home is fully air conditioned. A wrap-around deck provides 2nd floor views of the ocean and coastline along with dramatic mountain vistas. The well-manicured Estate grounds are verdantly planted with Hawaiian tropical flora. A thick hedge at the beach edge provides privacy and security. There is an outdoor shower near the beach access.

Excellent beachfront home
Pictures do not fully express how lovely this home and location is. The house was great and had everything we needed. And the location was absolutely fantastic; we spent hours on the beach, boogie boarding, swimming, and playing in the sand, with almost no one else there. We even saw turtles surfing the waves. We loved the privacy and gorgeous vistas from every window. A true gem.

Great property
We have stayed at higher end locations all around the island and this is definitely one of the best. The property is very well kept, the location is great and the communication and responsiveness with the property management company was great. We highly recommend and can't wait to come back!

Amazing Location
What an amazing spot on the planet! This bay has it all: tide pools, sea life (sea turtles pull out on the beach), hikes up to the point, spirited swimming (at low tide for good swimmers only in Winter), and a large, quiet and private property with a beautiful shady beach front and exceptional views. There is a guest house on the property that is also rented but it's set well apart (if you got both you could host a large group very well). The layout was comfortable for our 4 kids (two each per room using the trundle pullout). The kitchen is very well-appointed and in the perfect location. The only thing we wished for is a bit more space at the outdoor table on the lanai so we could all dine together outside. It is an older home, but everything works well and there have clearly been updates to the appliances and furnishings. The teak railing around the lanai is the nicest work I've seen! In terms of location, it's well situated on the North shore on a very quiet bay down small one-lane style roads. So not many people know about (but locals do: quite a few were fishing on New Years day made for great conversations). Great restaurants and stores within 15min drive, and good access to Hanalei and the rest of the north shore. Would absolutely return.

Ideal location
This how was our little piece of heaven for the last week. The beach is steps away and we had ideal weather so it was perfect for all of us to snorkel. It’s the type of home and beach you never want to leave. The house had incredible views and it was very private. Our kids played in the open floor plan and on the outdoor patio. It was easy to keep track of everyone. The kitchen was great for a large family cooking all together. We are already trying to plan when we could come back.

5 star location, but...
The location for this property is perfect - nice beach just steps away, but the owner is relying on the location and neglecting the house itself. The house is in need of some major TLC. For the price, one would not expect knobs falling off cupboards, a jet engine AC above the great room, or an inoperable stove/oven. There were so many things wrong with this house, we developed a punch list to provide to the agent and owner. The oven/stove has been inoperable since July and they keep stating they are waiting on a part or qualified people to install it. We had to do all our cooking on provided propane burners. When one is paying a premium for luxury accomodations, one expects these things to work. We had plumbers and electricians out to the house to put temporary fixes on things (they never returned to fix them properly). We were there for 2 weeks and there was ample time to address these issues. The house is really in need of a refresh.

Beautiful Bay Retreat
The house is in an amazing location on a quieter bay. There were usually more local fisherman than beach goers. It looked to be a good spot for catching Scad as there would be a dozen or more fisherman clustered pulling them in throughout the day. The house is well equipped and has an amazing bay view. The wrap around lanai and sand room were great. The yard was spacious, well maintained, and great for the keikis. The neighborhood was very quiet and peaceful. We received a heads up ahead of time that the oven was out and a repair person would be coming during our stay. They provided butane burners and plenty of butane refills so It wasn’t a problem. Property management communicated well for the repair visit. We did have a rodent get into our food in the pantry so the broken oven became the food storage. We found later the rodent was a rat which woke us up in the night as it clumsily thumped around in the closest. We chased it to its hidey hole and notified management who said it would be taken care of. Overall a wonderful place and we’ll be retuning hopefully sooner than later.

This home is amazing!
We enjoyed our stay here, the home is beautiful, well kept and the view is amazing!! The beach is clean and secluded. Two challenges, there are two access codes for both entry doors. I had received one prior to arrival. I called and the owner quickly helped us gain access to the house. The second, we arrived at night and it is very dark and we couldn’t see the address on the front gate. However the directions the owner provided were helpful and I was glad I took a picture of them on my phone as there is no WiFi once you are off the main road ( there is WiFi in the house). We would definitely stay here again.

Moloa'a Bay Villa hit all the right marks
This place is sweet. There were not a ton of reviews when we booked it, and the place is more expensive that we'd normally do, so we had some concern that there would be some big drawback not evident from the listing. There was not and we couldn't have been happier with the property and location. Moloa'a Bay is just gorgeous and not at all crowded. The whole scene is just beautiful and serene. The grounds are really nice and bordering the spectacular beach. There will be a few groups of people on the beach during the day and we had it to ourselves early morn and later in the eve. The reef on the right side provides great snorkeling . The waves and currents in the center of the bay were strong enough so that we did not let the younger kids in there, but just over to the right by the reef the water was consistently plenty calm for the kids. Outside of the reef area the water does get cloudy due to all the sand and silt kicking up from the waves, but inside the protected reef the visibility is nice. Though visibility there still not quite as good as some of the other premier snorkeling spots on the island. We hit Ke'e beach and that was even better for snorkeling and well worth the trip (totally beautiful too - get your Haena passes two weeks in advance - they sell out fast!). The Northeast location was a great spot to access the north shore as well as Kapa'a and south. We had great seclusion but were just 15-30 minutes from mot of the best attractions. We loved the car port under the house. So easy to pull in and unload even when it was raining. We did see tons of rain but it always gave way to amazing rainbows and periods of sunshine. Kauai just delivers big time on all fronts and this Villa is a killer spot to enjoy it from. We wondered if the slider (paper wall) to the front bedroom would not provide enough privacy from sound carrying through the common areas, but the consistent sound of crashing waves 75 feet east made it a non-issue. Hardest part was needing to choose between the master suite (on the side of house opposite the ocean) or the oceanside bedroom, much smaller but also very nice and with the crashing waves lulling your rest. Super beach house! We looked at another place higher up on one of the hills, well appointed and similarly priced. We had no regrets and were very psyched to be able to stroll directly onto the beach with our coffee in the morn and drinks at night. Ahhhhhh - gotta get back here!
