Forget Me Not Home in South Anchorage

Comfortable, Clean, Kids Friendly and private basement Apartment in a Safe Neighborhood located in beautiful South Anchorage.
Its a 1300 sq ft in the basement level that comfortably accommodates up to 7 adult guests + 2 children in 2 bedrooms with 1 king bed and 1 full bed, Toddler bed, and 1 queen bed, plus a full size hide a bed couch and a Pack 'n Play.
Convenient combination deadbolt entry lock for easy 24/7 check-in.
Entire guest floor is private and your home away from home, including fully stocked open kitchen, dining and living space, 1 full bathroom, laundry room, built-in sauna and a large parking lot.
There are 10 steps going down to the unit.
All linens provided, washer and dryer available for use, as well as a hairdryer, ironing board, and iron. We also provide washer detergent, dish soap, shampoo, soap, and body wash, coffee maker, electric teapot, wine bottle opener, and much more, so you don't have to worry about anything during your stay.

Apartment is also equipped with nice built-in Sauna and Ping pong table. Sauna is $20 per hour for electric and cleaning expenses.

We like to give guests their privacy, but if you need anything please do not hesitate to call us- we're next door to assist. We'll be happy to offer recommendations for activities, shopping, and restaurants.

The property was a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in an easily accessible, upscale neighborhood in south Anchorage. The place was very comfortable, all amenities advertised were available, and the hosts were very accommodating. It was all as advertised and more! And the cost of the rental was unbeatable!

Huge space in a basement

First, I'll say that this is a meticulously clean unit with a lot of great features including a very large space, a full kitchen (less dishwasher), laundry room, and in-room sauna (additional cost). When we arrived, the smoke detectors were missing and the host replaced the two nearest the bedrooms the next day.But, you're living in someone's converted basement. The space is more "family/guest bonus area" than "welcoming short term rental". You'll hear the voices and footsteps of the host's family. At some points, it sounded like they were moving pianos up there, but they were rarely up early in the morning nor did they stay up late at night.Take some time to note where the lights and light switches are -- they're not where you think.Lighting is generally poorly designed with a random smattering of cool white LED puck lighting in the main area. The bathroom lighting is the worst. The entire bathroom is quite dim and there is no light in the shower. This is a below ground unit with two windows -- one in the master bedroom and one in the TV area. From the parking area entry, there is an indoor stairway leading down. Luggage and groceries will be going up and down a staircase.The furniture in the TV area is well past its useful life and the carpeted areas are pretty worn.If you need the space, you can't beat the value, but if you don't, there are better choices available.

This place is a G-E-M!!

This is a great property to stay at. A basement apartment (approximately 12 stairs down) in a quiet neighborhood that is stocked with everything you need as well as some of the kitchen, bathroom and laundry room supplies that you will need. The hosts were great! They made sure I had whatever I needed, answered all my "tourist" questions but at the same time didn't bother me unnecessarily. They made sure that the parking spot that is reserved for their guests is ALWAYS free of snow and ice which for someone like me who isn't used to driving in those conditions is a great bonus. On check-out day I had a late flight so the hosts offered to let me stay late because they didn't have a check-in that day. That probably won't happen for everyone but it gives some insight into the great personalities of the hosts. I have absolutely no complaints about the property, hosts, or area. When I come back to Anchorage I will try to stay here again. This location is about 20 minutes to JBER and about 15 from the airport.

Overall great stay! Easy checkin, great communication with host! They brought us extra cream for our coffee in the morning when we texted. There was plenty of room, but it had one less king bed than was listed. Location was conveniently close to Anchorage airport. We were surprised that the apartment was a basement apartment which was not listed as such

Very convenient and accommodating

We stayed here for one night on our way in and out of Alaska for vacation. This location was convenient and Karina was very accommodating of our late check-in and need for short-term storage during our trip. It was as described - a clean, neat space in the lower level of their home with plenty of sleeping space and a nice kitchenette.

Local residential stay which was perfectly located to the airport. Owner has excellent communication and quickly responsive to messages. Appreciate the owner ability to meet some additional requests as will be staying again prior to return flight home for consistency. Highly recommend!
