“The town of Arklow is a quaint, quiet little town, very walkable, a river nearby. The Hotels proprietor was a very friendly, kind, helpful man. Check in at the bar was quick, room was nicely renovated, it could have been the time of year but it was VERY quiet in the upstairs area, I felt like I was the only one staying there. There was a bountiful, delicious breakfast the next morning, a full Irish breakfast and I had a lovely chat with the barkeep....he had been working there for 50……

“This place was so cute. I only stayed for one night but I wish I had stayed longer. Very clean and cute. You could tell a lot of love and care had been put into the decor. Everything felt cozy and homey. They even had coffee and cookies available in the room. And they provided a little binder full of hiking spots, restaurants, and things to do nearby which was very helpful. If I ever come through this town again o will definitely stay at Madeline’s. ”

“Quick and easy check-in. Staff were very attentive and helpful. We were given an upgraded room along with a beautiful fruit and chocolate brownie plater because it was a birthday get away - so very much appreciated 😊 Room was beautiful, spacious, clean with a beautiful view of the golf course and Vale of Avoca. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of choice and had a wide window of timings, so if you fancied a longer lay in, it wasnt a problem. We had dinner in the Bistro restaurant both……

Best for guests with access to a car, The Meetings is still very manageable without one, since the Local Link bus stops four times a day for travel to nearby Wicklow Town and other villages as well as the gorgeous Glendalough region with its famed walks and historic ruins. “The Brooklodge is a beautiful hotel and the grounds are immaculate and lovely to walk around. It is a lovely old style building with a separate building called "brookhall" that has rooms and a geothermal pool. There is an amazing restaurant called the Strawberry tree restaurant, a great leisure centre. Overall, i think it is a little gem and off the beaten track but it is a must see. There is also a lovely quaint looking church beside a river stream-ideal for weddings. ”
