The motel gave us a tip on local dinning options before our stay. The host is nice and the room’s kitchen had everything you need. The place is quite and we have a good stay.

Three members of our family arrived the hotel in the evening. The receptionist was nice and advised us where to go for sightseeing (e.g. Authur’s Pass walking track and Castle Hill) next morning. But unfortunately I was mistakenly booked a room for two persons, I was informed I should pay the extra NZD15.- for the third person, my daughter. It was fine for us even though we stayed at the same room which was small for three persons. But one thing I wanted to mentioned was the location was good for stargazing. I enjoyed stargazing and and took the photo of stars there.

My partner and I came to stay for the night and were pleased with our stay and had a great experience! The owners were lovely, and gave great advice for our hike up Avalanche Peak. Our room was clean and very cosy, and we would definitely stay again :) thank you!

Owner was extremely helpful with the local area. Before arrival they contacted me regarding eating options in town so that I understood limitation ahead of time. Once I arrived they shared their knowledge on hiking/tramping options including timing. Property was very clean and spacious. I had everything I needed. Highly recommend.

We stayed here for one night to break up a long journey and really enjoyed it. There are some lovely walks in the village. The room was cosy and well equipped and the bedding was very nice. All clean and very good value for money.
