3-Br (5 beds) 2-Ba House in mtns near town. In mtns near town! Jacuzzi Hot tub!

3-bedroom (1-king bed, 1-queen, 1-full bed and two twins/sleeps 3 to 5 adults and 2 kids comfortably), 2-full bathrooms, kitchen, den/living room, mud room. TCL Roku 52" flat screen TV with Spectrum Cable TV, Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, Starz and a Wii upstairs and a 48" Insignia Roku flat screen TV downstairs, also Spectrum Cable TV available as well as DVD player and PlayStation 3, a 4 person jacuzzi hot tub outside, gas grill on rear porch and fire pit on side porch. Located in the forest with a slight mountain view (trees are beginning to block the view). Close to Blue Ridge Parkway, MST Trail, Folk Art Center and VA hospital. House is family friendly with kid-themed bedroom with twin beds, outdoor tree house, sand box, safety gates on stairs, pack-n-play, toys, etc... House has three small decks w/ outdoor chairs and tables and a small fenced-in yard. Pet-friendly with pet fee. Adjacent to Grassy Branch Vacation Rentals, The Wayward Moose lodge and Little Moose Cabin. House is 10 minutes from downtown Asheville. House is two story with upstairs (appx. 900 square feet) containing master bedroom, kids bedroom with 2 twin beds, full bathroom w/ jet tub, kitchen and den and the down stairs (appx. 500 square feet) containing bedroom, full bathroom and mud room/laundry room. House is accessed via stairs (please see photos), not ideal for elderly and is not handicap accessible. Access road is private dirt/gravel. Our garage was destroyed in Hurricane Helene. A tree completely destroyed the roof. The garage has never been used by our guests, mostly houses our lawnmower and other equipment. We plan to rebuild the garage this winter during the slow season.

Good house.
A bit dated, but overall a good house. It served our purposes well(hurricane relief). Great communication from the host. It smelled like an old house that is my only complaint.

Mr Clark was extremely fast communicating back with me even during one of the worst possible times this area has seen. I didn’t get to stay unfortunately only due to the hurricane that swept the roads away. I plan on scheduling another time to stay here solely based on how great the host were during that time and leading up to it. The cabin itself had everything we wanted and needed for a great vacation.

Excellent Asheville Getaway
This property allowed us to enjoy a mountain retreat while giving easy access to all the Asheville activities. Quick access to the mountain to sea trail and Blue Ridge Parkway provided plenty of hiking opportunities. The house was accurately described and the hot tub is a nice bonus. Please pay attention to the owners notes about bears and trash. We were lucky enough to see 4 bears at the property. Very cute, but be aware. We would definitely book this rental again.

Lovely Mountain Retreat
Truly enjoyed our stay at Duckers View. First, the hosts have done a fantastic job describing the house and property. There were no surprises. Second, the hosts are very responsive to messages. They also share their mobile numbers should an emergency arise. We found the house clean and comfortable. We had at least two meals a day in the house and found the kitchen with sufficient items (plates, glasses, mugs) for a family of four. We ran the dishwasher about once a day. The location is fabulous. Just down the mountain is an Ingles to grab your supplies and gas up the vehicles. The house key has an Ingles rewards card on it. Easy commute to get around the town and sits literally right beside the parkway. Great morning view from the kitchen window. Our pup really enjoyed the fenced in yard and the house was the perfect size for our family. We hope to stay here again! p.s. Do follow the instructions with regard to bears and using the bear box. We saw on average one bear per day during our visit, but only one right near the property.

What a gem!!
We loved our stay here! The house is charming and rustic with lots of character. If you don’t like being in the woods, this isn’t the place for you. We enjoyed coffee on the deck in the morning and soaking in the hot tub at night. The hosts were very responsive to our questions. Extra touches around the house made our family group of 5 adults feel right at home. We hope to stay again!

Accessible to town and trails, great for families with dogs
We loved the location of the house. It was a quick drive in to Asheville, and we were very excited that you could walk out of the door and be only a five-minute walk from the Mountains-to-Sea Trail along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The house itself was comfortably furnished, and the hot tub was great. The kitchen has the basics in terms of cooking implements, but guests need to bring their own staples.

Fantastic House Near Asheville, but in the quiet, somewhat private outskirts
Such a comfortable home and so close to all of the Asheville activities. Somewhat private in the trees and very quiet road while we were there. Great patio space and the hot tub was great after long days of exploring.

Awesome Family Getaway
we had a great time at Rodney's house - it's perfect for a family with kids and ours loved the toys and it was so nice they had gates on all the stairs and the yard was perfect. It feels very secluded but was very accessible to everywhere in town.

Great price for the location and space
This home feels like you are out there in the woods but is also close to downtown Asheville and even closer to Ingles which is great since we cooked most meals at the home. Owners were very responsive when we needed assistance with locating the outside lights. We would stay again

Quick Getaway
We planned this trip at the last minute and could not have been happier with the cabin. It was more than we needed for the 2 of us, but the price and location could not be beat. The space was comfortable and location was convenient. Would definitely come back and stay again.

Great spot, good location
This cabin is in a great location close to downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge. We came to spend Christmas with family in the area and had a great time staying here. Our hosts were super attentive with communication and check-in accommodations, and even set up a little Christmas tree for us, which was very sweet and thoughtful. My only critique is the hefty cleaning fee on top of paying a lot per night. However, we had such a great experience on this property, which was fully equipped for people who wanted to spend time there comfortably and we brought our two dogs, so I can understand. The yard is fully fenced in and has a cool treehouse and hot tub, both of which we used and loved. Overall, we had a lovely time and would definitely reserve again.

We’ll be back!
My husband, kids, and I booked a stay here for our first trip to Asheville, and it was the most relaxing trip we’ve had in a very long time! The location is just perfect: an easy 12 minutes from downtown Asheville but tucked away in a woodsy, enchanting, super quiet location. The fenced-in yard was so helpful to have since we brought our dog. The hot tub was a lovely perk after a long day of hiking (check out the Blue Ridge Parkway and Craggy Gardens) and exploring the city (I’ve listed some of our favorite spots below.) There is also a hiking trail directly across the road, which was a nice way to start each morning after observing some glorious sunrises. The *only* thing about this property that I would request is an update to the couch in the main room / den. We all laughed when we sat down because we sunk pretty far in and definitely were not expecting that! We didn’t spend much time in front of the television while on our trip because there was too much to see and you, but when we did, we all fought over who got to sit in the recliner. The owners were great at communicating and answering our questions. We are already looking at dates to return! Downtown Asheville highlights (with a family of 4:) Wicked Weed Brewing Chai Pani (best meal of my life) Green Man Brewing Retrocade in West Asheville (two floors of retro and modern video games— unlimited play all day for $10!) French Broad Chocolate Factory tour and tasting ($12 for adults, I think $8 for kids)
