Little Red Barn House

What could be better than a little red barn house on a hill? Soak up the sun or just lounge on the porch. This ranch style home sits on 5 acres in a beautiful country setting. The farm fields & wooded hillsides are a tranquil setting that anyone could enjoy. Sit back, relax & unwind in this beautiful newly built home. Read a book or enjoying the view on the covered front porch. Not to mention the abundance of wildlife to see! The fire ring in the back yard is perfect for enjoying a little fire!

***The home is set up for two individuals. Should you plan to bring more than two, we must okay this and there will be a $25.00 charger per person, per night. If not notified of additional individuals beyond the two, there will be a $50.00 per person, per night charge.
*** Damage charges are at our discretion.

Quiet/peaceful

We had a wedding to attend in Pomerey and booked this just for one night. Due to having to be at the rehearsal and then the wedding, we unfortunately didn't get to spend much time at the home. What time we did spend there was great. The house was beautiful, tastefully decorated, and very clean. The home was quiet and peaceful. Plenty of room outside to walk around a bit if you want. Nice porch on the front with a swing. We will definitely stay again if in the area, and will recommend to anyone. Hopefully we get to enjoy it a little more next time.

Pictures do not do this justice. Lovely comfy house, spacious for 2. Comfy bed and nicely isolated. A great place to get away from it all. We will definitely stay again.

We actually did not get to stay at this location due to a booking issue. However, the owner worked with us to find a wonderful location just down the road. She was very communicative, provided us with extra commodities for the booking issue, and even surprised us with an anniversary gift. We were very pleased and thankful!

ADORABLE!

We stayed at the Little Red Barn House for our daughter's graduation from OU. It was about a 20 min. or so drive from the campus. Simply adorable! It was perfect for our needs, very easy to navigate to and from, and very welcoming. Kalista and John were quick to respond when we had a slight wifi issue, and it was resolved instantly with their suggestions. Everything was incredibly clean and well-kept! This is a great little secret of a place everyone should know about! Thank you for making our weekend even more memorable!

Great place for a relaxing getaway. Definitely off the beaten path. Loved watching the stars from the back deck and a wonderful view from th front porch swing. House is clean and updated. Best equipped kitchen I've seen in a vacation rental which is very appreciated. Only drawback was lots of dvd movies but didn't find a dvd player

Little Red Barn House - Meigs Cty - OH - Nov 2022

Beautiful house and property about midway between Athens and Pomeroy. It was very close to the Fur Peace Ranch and the concert we attended. We enjoyed sitting out on the front porch as well as the very comfortable living and dining areas. Great spot for a nice break in a rural setting.

Sparkling clean!

The house was updated and so clean - even smelled good when walked in! The view from the swing on the front porch was beautiful, and the back yard was beautiful as well. We stayed here while visiting our son at OU. I wish it would have been about 10 minutes closer to campus, but at least it was an easy drive. We would stay again.

Litttle Red Barn House

The house and property were both wonderful. The house is modern, well decorated and cozy. The front porch has an amazing from the top of the hill, where it sits facing just grassy land and beautiful trees. Sitting on the front porch swing with birds singing all around and a gentle wind chime was absolute bliss for me. We would love to come back sometime.

This is a great, cozy getaway close to Athens but far enough away when you want to soak in the quiet. Loved listening to the morning sounds while I sipped coffee. Very clean and updated. Thank you for a nice weekend stay!

Excellent getaway in the country!

Such a clean and comfortable little home with all the amenities we needed in a great secluded location! Loved the porch swing - too bad it was so cold! This is definitely no cabin though - even though the location is remote it has all the modern amenities. Bathrooms and kitchen are nice and there is a newer TV with an Amazon firestick available. Lots of cooking supplies including a spice rack. Snacks on site are a really nice touch. Highly recommend!
