The good the bad and the ugly, starting with the good, the location is amazing and the rooms are fairly spacious, they come with a nice bathtub and the beds are pretty comfortable. The Barclay was the cheapest hotel I could find in downtown Atlanta so I wasn't expecting too much, and the rooms were acceptable and the location was great.
The bad, staff were very rude and unhelpful, the breakfast tasted like school cafeteria food, we were urged to check out hours before check out time, the drain in the shower/tub was full of hair from a previous guest.
The ugly, the worst part, the air conditioner in my room was broken, when I told the staff they didn't care at all, just wrote down a note to fix it at some point and that's all.
Overall, if you're looking for a cheap hotel in downtown Atlanta The Barclay isn't a bad option, especially if you get a room with working AC, but it's nothing more than that.
