Cozy Apartment Retreat in East Atlanta

Enjoy your visit in a beautifully decorated and renovated 750 sq. foot APARTMENT that is a lower split-level unit (this is not the entire house). It's your own little get away with off-street parking, your own private entrance and a nice, shady backyard for relaxing including your own private patio. Coffee and tea, fully-equipped kitchen; full-sized fridge, microwave, stove, desk, to compliment your stay.
The space
This cozy apartment is equipped with an Illy espresso maker, French press, a few spices and amenities, and plenty of pantry and closet space. The queen sized bed is tucked away behind a partial wall for privacy. The sleeper sofa is in the T. V. room and sleeps 2 (studio style-no separate bedroom). Shared Washer/Dryer. There is a HEPA filter (filtration system is a separate system from upstairs).

For more than 4 people, there is an extra charge of $50/night per person. Thank you!

In the back, off-street parking with landscaped outside lighted stairs (to the left) leading to the private entrance (red door) below. The property is not wheelchair accessible.
During your stay
I am usually around for any questions or concerns, but if not, text me and I'll get back as soon as I can!
Other things to note
My place is a little retreat in the city! No parties, no pets, no smoking, no drugs. I live upstairs and you may hear me from time to time. I will be mindful and quiet (and ear plugs are provided in the kitchen drawer to the left of the sink). Shhhh!

Perfectly Cozy Spot

Stephanie was wonderful from the beginning! I arrived just after a snow/ice storm and she had cleared a path for me down to the apt. Her home was perfect for what I needed- my trip was business, but wished I could’ve explored the neighborhood a bit. Bed was comfortable, TV worked, nice work space! Would book again.Thank you, Stephanie- I enjoyed my stay!

The Stay

The stay was okay due to what we were in town for. It was short notice and it wouldn't let us book for the day of but Stephanie did go in and make arrangements for us. The neighborhood is quite quiet. You are sharing the home with her, you're just staying in the basement area. When we walked in it was like an old smell to it. The ceiling is very low so if you're a tall individual this probably won't work for you. It's definitely not a two bedroom. It has a very small room that's open to the rest of the area. It has a pull out couch that was comfy. She did dog sit for a friend while we were there & omg that part was horrible because it kept running and whining loud. The home was clean but I did find long strings of hair in the bed.I didn't know we were sharing the laundry room. Overall she's a nice host.

Lovely time

Had a great time. Was able to check in early and the host was extremely responsive and pleasant. The only thing is that it's listed as 2 rooms but there is not a door between the rooms.

A lovely and safe oasis in metro Atlanta

This beautifully curated and spotless basement apartment is an oasis in metro Atlanta. It's situated in the heart of East Atlanta Village within a couple of blocks of restaurants and other amenities. We walked past a collection of lovely homes and gardens to Emerald City Bagels for incredible bagels each morning. There was ample space to park our Accord in the back. We stayed for three nights, but this would also make a great longer term option. We were in town for a Braves game and to visit my college and places in Decatur. The location worked well for both. We met Stephanie, the owner who lives upstairs, and she was most gracious. We highly recommend.

Very cozy and clean space. Better than a hotel and way more affordable. Very spacious for 2 people with plenty of closet space, storage space in bathroom, a desk, and full kitchen. Wished we couldve stayed longer. 10/10

My daughter and I felt very safe & the apartment was just what we needed! It was close to the care center that my sister was in, making convenient to head over there every day. That was our sole purpose for being there so we did not have the time to explore the area.

Perfect stay!

Wonderful place to stay if you want proximity to the city without the hustle and bustle of the city. Comfy, clean and adequately stocked apartment. Perfect for a couple or small family. Nice walkable place in East Atlanta Village - close to restaurants, bars and artsy stores and boutiques. Close enough to downtown to drive or Uber (I prefer the later. Event parking fees are easily $40+). Stephanie is a wonderful, accessible host who even purchased drinking water for me due to the water main break in the area. So thoughtful. A+ stay!

The apartment is lovely. Our only challenge was the bed was so high you needer a step stool to get into it. there was not enough room on the side of the bed to enter the bed from the side as one would normally do so we had to climb in from the foot of the bed and crawl to the top.

Short stay

My mother and I stayed at Cozy Apartment Retreat for two nights while we visited family living nearby. The space was just as the pictures show, cozy, clean and plenty of room for us. Easy walk to the coffee shop and other restaurants and shops. The host was friendly and kind. This was a good choice for us.
