They don't tell you at the front, but they charge you $80 dollars PER DAY of deposit. I had to leave EARLY due to this. Cause they kept ripping money out of my account after telling me the deposit is $80 like yeah, I expect that. But a nightly change was NOT told. Also you are sadly SWARMED with homeless and it felt super unsafe. The room itself smelled like mold and wet, as well as part of the latch lock was broken on the door so I put the cuck chair in front of it, and one of the lightbulbs burnt out that I didn't feel ok with anyone but me in the room due to the reports of theft for that hotel. They also randomly rekeyed my room without notifying me.

The staff here is AMAZING, especially front desk, valet, and the security guard at the entrance. Friendly, helpful, down to earth people. The amenities were good, and if you don’t show up in the last 30 mins of the breakfast time, there was good variety (things run out and don’t get replaced in that last 30 minutes). The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the little kitchenette was really helpful. My main concern was how rough the area was. It was very close to a MARTA station — convenient for travel — but there were a lot of homeless people, there were a lot of disruptive people, and there was construction going on in so many different directions that it was difficult to find open sidewalks, so you were forced to walk on broken pavement in narrow spaces with other people. Also, the hotel is right next to the Underground, and there was a Caribbean Festival held late into the night — I’m a light sleeper, so it definitely kept me up. Overall, though, I think I’d stay there again. The staff make it worth it.

I want to begin by saying the staff was accommodating and very nice w regard to my issues. However the issues should not be something guests have to deal with when renting a hotel room. My daughters and I spent the weekend of May16-18, 2025 at the Connally. The first night our rooms AC never cooled down the room although we had it set at 60 DEGREES. By 530 am, after not sleeping for a minute we went downstairs to ask for another room. We got a room that had AC but NO HOT WATER! At midnight Saturday night when we realized we had no hot water we were moved to a third room. That room had hot water but again no cooling AC. The unit runs as if there is AC but cool air does not blast out of the small vents when set at 60 degrees. It was another HOT SLEEPLESS. The next morning when checking out the elevators wee broken and we had to lug all our stuff down 6 flights of stairs. We spent 2 nights in 3 different rooms where we could not get hot water AND a cool AC in the same room. It was like we were camping all weekend. Not what I expected fir the price I paid for a quaint “boutique” hotel in Atlanta. ALSO, beware of the outside of the hotel. Not safe at all. I am from NOLA and know “not safe” but this was at a higher level of scary. Do not walk the streets outside the hotel properly. You will be harassed! There is security at the front door of the hotel but they can only do so much. I do not recommend this place at this time. I hope they make the required steps to better this hotel.

Muy buen servicio en todos los aspectos. Solo por un inconveniente sobre los cobros, tuvimos dos habitaciones por dos noches, pagamos todo anticipado, llegando se pagaron las dos noches dé parquímetro y los dos depósitos pero al final nos hicieron otro cargo a nuestra tarjeta que no tenía ningún sentido, no nos dieron solución ni respuesta.

Desk clerk was rude. Question my kids when they stepped off the elevator, asked name and room #. My two teenage kids showed the room key and she said that they need to answer her questions or leave. As they stood in lobby waiting for me to come down she continued to harass them. They attempted to help themselves to the complimentary breakfast and she told them that was for guest only, not the public. All within 5 minutes before I made it down. I step off elevator and my kids are looking scared and told me what had just happened. When I tried to speak to her in regards, she responded with “we have people walking around here all the time, sorry but all he had to do was answer me, instead of just stare. Excuse me, but 7:45 my kids are being 14 & 16. As we waited for valet, I spoke with a manager, he was apologetic and nice.

The hotel itself was very nice. The staff very friendly. The area outside the hotel was a bit sketchy. But a firm no seemed to work on any homeless people that came up to speak to us. We stayed here to go see a concert at the Masquerade and it was easy walking distance. The hotel is easy walking distance to a lot of places. I'm very satisfied and i will be staying here again the next time i want to see a concert at that venue.
