This property looked very luxurious. The room was spacious and as this stay was a couple weeks ago, i don’t remember much. all i remember is i requested a crib and i got the feeling the attendant couldn’t be bothered to actually check if one was available. i also asked for sheets for the pull out bed since he never got back to me on the crib, and said he’d have to check and see if there were spare sheets like it was a chore.

When I arrived in the room, I noticed that the room safe was locked. I called down to ask if the manager could open the safe for me. He proceeded to give me the master code over the phone and told me how to unlock the safe. When I told him that would allow me to open any safe, or anyone to open my safe he said it was OK because they didn't give out the code. When I said that he just gave the code to me, he said that was only because he was busy. I decided I could not stay in a hotel that had such poor security procedures. When I checked out the next morning (2 days early) they apologized and said I would get a refund. I have not received a refund.

Property was close to the ballpark, a quick 10 minute walk. But if you are planning on heading to downtown Atlanta, it's a long transit ride. You can take a 20 minute Uber but the rates fluctuate a lot and can get very high. Hotel itself was clean, however a room cleaning during our stay would have been nice. Buffet was pretty basic but good to have the option.

Property looks nice from a distance but has deficiencies up close. We rented two rooms both double queens. Pros: Pump shampoo, conditioner, and body wash provided. Refrigerator and microwave were clean. Drains clean. Under window heaters/air conditioner worked well. Multiple fluffy pillows. In-door pool. Good water pressure and water temperature. Cons: Ant infestation and cockroaches in one room. Beds were not soft but felt hollow. When sitting on the side, the beds bent into a v-shape. Microwave in one room was so old it had a turn dial timer. Easy open doors for kids to easily "escape" from the room. While checking in, a 2 year-old was found wandering by himself. Finally, staff issues. They did not give us both room keys. They did not see the two rooms. When asked to move for cockroaches, they wanted a photo. They begrudgingly offered another room, which we definitely took after finding the ant infestation. We took a video for them. If asked, I would recommend finding another hotel. Price and location were not worth it.

I would like to mention the girl who works at the front desk, Kenesha. She went above and beyond to help us. We had a very early morning flight and we were exhausted when we got to the Wingate. Kenesha promised us that she would call us as soon as a room became avaliable. And she did. We are so appreciative. Its so nice to see someone who offers such great customer service. Thank you Kenesha!

We were there to go to Truist Park. The hotel is on the other side of the freeway across from the stadium the walk the get over it can be a little tricky but manageable.

We were in town to go to Truist Park for a baseball game.. The hotel is on the other side of the freeway from the park. The walk over to the baseball stadium can be a little bit unsafe but manageable. The hotel has a shuttle, but it will only drop you off at the baseball park. But it is in a prime location to malls movie, theaters, and other things however, there are a few homeless people in the area hanging out. The hotel staff was really friendly for the most part. The maid are in a rush to get you out of the room the next day so they kept knocking on the door however, we were there for three days but because of the language barrier. They didn’t understand so I had to show them my paperwork.

We loved that is was so close and walkable to the Battery. All the staff were very nice. Loved the sitting area, bench seat to put on shoes and the hospitality area. (Coffee & fridge) What we didn’t like was the traffic noise (our room faced the highways) and the rooms need updating. The carpet needs to be changed to flooring. The bathroom has no fan. Our door had a problem locking. Glad we checked it when we left. The staff came immediately to help. Very low water pressure in shower. Even with all the lamps on it was not bright enough for our liking. We will probably book again for the location and free parking but will ask for a room not facing the highway.

I didn't like that the pool was unavailable because that's one of the reasons why I picked this hotel. That's really my only gripe. Everything else was good.
